AFRICA MARKET

I stopped by looking for some spices. The owner spent time explaining Ethiopian cuisine and the uses of just about everything in the store. Very helpful and great place to find items. Will definitely stop again next time I'm in town.

Great customer service was given! The store is very well organized and clean, has essential items on shelf, great prices and makes you feel very welcomed! Highly recommend to everyone

The owner is incredibly kind and helpful! So willing to teach and will do anything to help you find what you need. This is by far our favorite African Market in town!

My daughter and I had the most pleasant experience visiting at the African market last week. We stopped there because another market we had visited was not open and it was a very lucky event. Not only was the owner very conversant and very pleasant but he was so informative about all the spices and product he sold and so informed about how to use those spices and products in several recipes we were interested in learning about. We came out ready to cook three or four of our favorite restaurant recipes. We also learned that his spice combinations were exclusive to his store and were very clean and ingredients. We learned that he came from a background of farmers and really cared about what went into his food and that he himself was vegetarian so as vegans we were able to get a lot of useful information from him.I was particularly happy to learn that his Angela was made with buckwheat and not wheat,, if you call ahead he will make it to your order. My daughter is the chef and she went on for well over a half an hour about the nuances of recipes. I was enthralled just listening. We visited once again since then to pick up a couple of more spices. All the essentials were there. There were also beautiful clothes and several cooking supplies. The store is conveniently located just across the street from the co-op and so it is easily integrated into our shopping routine. We are so glad it is here and hope it stays

Excellent customer service! My partner and I love to make and try international food. The owner is so friendly and spent tons of time giving advice and explaining in detail how to cook with his products. We will be back! Thank you!

We were visiting from Chicago and were very happy to find this place. Very nice, neat and clean store with quality products. The owner, Gafat, was very friendly and helpful. We will stop in again on our next visit.

Gafat is a wonderful help. He informed me on all of the benefits of the different spices that he has at his store and he genuinely cares about all of his customers! I will definitely be supporting this great local business to buy some fresh injera and more spices.
