Mixed Pantry

I never leave reviews, but I will for Mixed Pantry. And I only make it to the shop when I’m in town for the holidays, but it’s a must on my to-do list. Good vibes and great selection of Asian flavours and hard to find items for …surprise, surprise- your pantry! There’s a lot you can taste test here so you know what you’re getting. Also, these are theeeeee NICEST people who know their products. Can’t go wrong.

Yo, just stop reading this review and go into the store already! If Asian flavors and chili crisps speak to you, this place is a must visit. Tac’s energy and enthusiasm are absolutely infectious. He greeted me like a friend and walked me through a chili crisp tasting adventure, letting me sample so many unique varieties I’d never have found on my own. Seriously, don’t overthink it - just go and let yourself be wowed!

Awesome selection of chili oils, spreads, butters, sauces, condiments, snacks etc.. The variety offers flavors from every corner of Asia and is sure to satisfy all preferences. Don’t be shy—take advantage of the samples (and be sure to ask the shopkeeper’s recommendations too, they will not disappoint) This is a great place to stop in for a gift, grab something to upgrade your dinners at home or come close to the flavors you haven’t experienced since your trip to Japan. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re in the neighborhood, and still stopping in even if you’re not!

This place is a treasure trove! Go here to treat yourself, or get someone a nice gift. Everything here is high-quality and unique, and I was blown away by their selection. I do a lot of Japanese cooking at home, and there are ingredients/products I normally forego with the selection that's available here in the States; but--now that I know about Mixed Pantry--I can just happily walk downtown and stock up on! (They also have samples you can try if you're eyeing something but aren't quite sure). Shout-out to the adorable, friendly staff member Lindsay, who was so good at answering my questions and giving suggestions!

a hidden gem! its so hard to find a good selection of Asian goods in Seattle, I’ll definitely be coming back! the staff was also really sweet and explained the background story of each local product too

Super charming place to visit! I was running low on my Lao Gan Ma's Spicy Chili Crisp and Mixed Pantry have a TON of chili crisps to choose from! And u can ask to taste test them. The person at the front was so warming and eager to help me find a chili crisp that my family would love. I ended up picking 2 jars! I must go back again to try out more of their selection. Maybe even get a spicy one for me >:) edit: i forgot to mention this but my family really loves them! Ya'll, visit here if u can. There are so many different types of chili crisps to try!

Very glad we stopped in! We got a little education, a party for our taste buds, and met Tak- the friendly proprietor who cares about the neighborhood and the larger community. I picked up some "magic beans" (chili crisp with fermented soy beans), a jar of Nong’s Khao Man Gai sauce and some Taiwanese black vinegar for a signature cocktail I am dreaming up. We will be back! Stop by this great little shop before you get on your cruise ship. You know the ship food will be better with some "doctoring"!
