I was worried reading all the bad reviews but I went there today and there was a guy at the door who greeted me nicely. The guy at the lobster tank was very friendly and helpful. He was patient when I asked for a giant lobster, a dungoness crab, a handful of clams, and a handful of snails. He was friendly the whole time and the cashier was very attentive and flagged me down when I was looking to check out. The store is much smaller than I thought , but the parking is free and plenty of spots and they have a lot of variety of stuff. I would definately come back

BEST PLANTAIN PRODUCE SELECTION I’ve found in the puget sound!! I got their deli lunch meal despite good pricing, the food later gave me stomach problems! Would come again for produce and fresh fish only

The first Lam market is in Chinatown, and the second one is in Tukwila. There are some cons I want to point out in this location. It is so SMALL market, dirty, and unorganized. I understand it is hard to find an excellent and adjacent spot in Chinatown. There is a variety of Asian food, and the quality is between average and good. I have heard someone complain about the rotten fruit. Also, there is plenty of parking, so you don't need to worry about this. The staff is quite friendly. I hope the Lam management can consider redesigning the market to serve their customers better

The staff are very rude!! One time I had my boyfriend pick up a few things from there and happened to get one of the the items wrong. I immediately went back to the store to try and return to it bc the item itself cost me $95. So then I got there the "manager" told me that he was calling the police if I didn't leave right now and he knows how "u people are and what I'm trying to do".. I just smiled and walked back to my car bc there's no arguing with people like him. I just simply won't come back there unless I have to.

Lam Seafood was one of my stops every time I went to Chinatown in Seattle for breakfast. I love the fresh vegetables it has over there. Besides vegetables, you can pick up fresh delis. I got Vietnamese sandwiches, cakes, and the beef jerky are good. The store has a good selection of meat and seafood. However, I have to warn you the seafood department is wet, a bit slippery and it stinks. I picked up some clams and crabs. Then head home. When I got home, I opened the bag the crabs were partially dead. I washed the clams and crabs thoroughly before cooking. Once cooked, the clams tasted like they were sitting in sewage water. The crab meat falls apart from the shell. It's edible, but it smells. I asked a young man to give me two giant crabs. He gave me two small ones. Glad he did the opposite.

I’ve been going there for years. They have various Asian cooking ingredients at a reasonable price. Also they are fresh and good size market to shop without wasting time.
