H Mart Ballard

This location is okay, but not as good as the Redmond one. I’ve noticed the produce here can sometimes be wilted, and the deli doesn’t compare to other locations in terms of preparation or quality. That said, it’s still a good spot to pick up non-produce items like fish sauce, rice, noodles, etc. The parking lot is convenient, which is a plus. I wouldn’t go out of my way to shop this location but if I’m nearby, I’ll stop in.

H-Mart Ballard can be a bit hit or miss. Sometimes the produce section looks great, with fresh vegetables and good variety, but other times items look wilted or past their best. The deli is much the same — on certain days you’ll find tasty, well-prepared food, and on others it can feel a little lacking. The store itself is convenient and the staff are generally helpful, but overall it doesn’t quite measure up to other H-Mart locations in the area. The Redmond store, for example, is consistently far superior in terms of freshness, selection, and quality. Ballard is fine for a quick stop if you’re in the neighborhood, but if you’re looking for the best H-Mart experience, other locations may be worth the extra drive.

I live nearby and was super excited to shop here. Recently I came a few times and their produce was not fresh. I waited to see if this was temporary but sadly it has been consistently bad. Look at the produce. They are dry, spoiled and does not look fresh fresh at all. This poses health risk guys. I’d recommend buying processed food only (check expiration date too). H Mart - Can you please do something about this?

I’m so excited that Ballard finally has its own H Mart! I stopped by today to check it out, and it has just about everything you’d hope for in an Asian grocery store. The store is well-stocked with a wide variety of Asian groceries, from sauces and snacks to noodles and spices. The produce section is especially impressive—fresh, colorful, and neatly arranged. The freezer section is also packed with a great selection of dumplings, seafood, and other frozen staples. There’s a small ready-to-eat food section if you’re looking for a quick bite, plus a little corner dedicated to K-beauty products. The meat section was smaller than I expected, but still decent. I imagine it will improve as they settle in. A fun bonus: they have a gift shop area, and you get a grocery bag / free goodie depending on how much you spend. I spent $51.05 and chose an aloe drink—such a nice touch! Overall, a great first visit. I’ll definitely be back! Welcome to the neighborhood, H Mart!

A Hidden Gem We Happened to Find – So Glad We Stopped! While driving through Seattle on our way to Fred Meyer, we happened to pass by this brand-new H Mart in Ballard. Being visitors from Texas and unfamiliar with the area, we decided to make a spontaneous stop—and we’re so glad we did! To our surprise, it was only the second day of their grand opening, and the store was buzzing with energy and excitement. Even better, they were offering fantastic deals on a wide variety of products. From fresh produce to popular Korean snacks, everything was attractively priced and well-stocked. One highlight that stood out was the amazing deal on fruit. Earlier that day, we had purchased 8 peaches and nectarines from Pike Place Market for $26. While the quality there was great, we were shocked to find a whole box of nectarines for just $16 at H Mart—nearly half the price! Of course, we couldn’t resist buying another box here to compare the taste, and honestly, they were just as fresh and sweet. A great value! The store itself is clean, modern, and very well organized. The layout makes shopping easy and enjoyable. The snack aisle was especially tempting, with many of our favorite Korean treats on sale for the opening. It was also nice to see helpful and friendly staff keeping things moving efficiently despite the crowd. We had a really enjoyable shopping experience, and we’d definitely recommend this H Mart location to anyone—whether you’re a local or just passing through like us. The quality, prices, and vibe made it worth the visit. If you’re in the area, especially during opening week, don’t miss out on these awesome deals and fresh finds. Welcome to Ballard, H Mart! I’m so happy to have this amazing store in the neighborhood. The store is incredibly clean and has a fantastic inventory. I also noticed a beauty section that looks very appealing, though I didn’t have the chance to explore it today. I really liked they have a hot bar, but since it’s their first day and I came in the evening, most of the food was already gone. I’m looking forward to seeing the full range of options when it’s fully stocked. Parking can be a bit challenging since they share the lot with other stores, but that’s understandable with all the excitement around the opening. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, which made the entire experience feel really pleasant. The lines were a bit long (but moved fast), but that’s to be expected on opening day, and it was great to see so many people excited about the new store. Overall, I’d give H Mart a solid 5 stars.

Love this place! Very friendly staff. You will find a bunch of fun snacks as well as healthy options. Cleanest makeup section ever. Just go here at least once you won't regret it. Since this is a smaller grocery chain please review their return policy prior to purchase. They do have open samples of almost everything to view and test out your selection prior to purcase. Excellent customer service. 😍
