If you’re in the North Ballard or Northgate area, this is a great Asian market to check out. Even if you’re not nearby, it’s still worth the visit. The staff is friendly and usually helpful. They have a solid selection of produce, especially if you’re looking for Asian varieties and they even have some organic options. The deli could use a little improvement, but overall, I definitely recommend this place! Also nice that they have big parking lot.

Lots of selections for Chinese grocery. It may have the most collections for Chinese food in this area. From veggie, meats, sea food, to frozen foods, Chinese deli, snacks and so on. Neat environment and friendly staffs. Neighbor restaurants are delicious making the shopping experiences better.

Asian Family Market is my go-to grocery store for Asian ingredients and specialty items. They have a huge selection with fresh produce, meats, and fish, all at great quality. The store is well laid out and easy to navigate, making it simple to find what you’re looking for. Don’t forget to check out the homewares section as well — lots of great finds there. A fantastic one-stop shop for Asian groceries!

Since moving to Seattle 16 years ago, I pretty much gave up on my search for crawfish tail meat to make an étouffée. Recently, a friend suggested I check out an Asian market. Asian Family Market happens to have a location near the school I work at, so I decided to check them out. OMG, this place has it all!! As you open the door to walk in you’ll pass by many Asian cafes, a bakery, and a hair salon before entering the market, located in the back of the mall. This market is incredible. A massive variety of fruits, local & imports, & fresh vegetables, several unrecognized by me as my Asian cooking experience is limited to stir fry, fried rice dishes and frozen dumplings. There are several aisles of interesting products (even Lays potato chips with flavors not found in standard supermarkets). When I got to the fish & seafood section, the variety was endless. Fresh fish swimming in tanks, crabs, shrimp, and plenty of Pacific Northwest oysters. And, yes, even crawfish, both whole and tail meat. But, for crawfish étouffée, the way it’s done Louisiana, one uses raw crawfish tails purchased in bags with the fat included. Unfortunately, the tail meat at Asian Market appeared to be cooked so I didn’t buy any. That said, I did find some other tasty items-of course, I had to try the Lays Crawfish Flavored Potato Chips. Delicious! I guess I’ll have to stick with making shrimp étouffée.

Asian Family Market at 13200 Aurora Ave N, Suite A, Seattle, WA 98133, is a gem for anyone looking to explore a wide variety of Asian groceries and products. Here’s why I highly recommend it: The market boasts an impressive array of products from various Asian countries, including China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, and more. Whether you're looking for fresh produce, specialty sauces, or unique snacks, you'll find it here. The seafood section is particularly noteworthy, offering a fresh and diverse selection. Although it's little more expensive than a typical grocery store the produce section is well-stocked with fresh and vibrant fruits and vegetables that are often hard to find in other grocery stores. From bok choy to dragon fruit, the quality and variety are exceptional. The staff are always friendly and willing to help. They are knowledgeable about the products and can offer great recommendations if you're trying something new. Their customer service truly enhances the shopping experience. The store is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. Aisles are clearly labeled, making it simple to find what you need. The layout is spacious, which adds to a pleasant shopping experience. There are often great deals and discounts available. It's a fantastic place to stock up on essentials without breaking the bank. Shopping here is more than just a grocery run; it's a cultural experience. The market often has unique items and seasonal products that give you a taste of different Asian cultures. Asian Family Market is a must-visit for anyone in the Seattle area looking for high-quality Asian groceries. The combination of diverse products, fresh produce, friendly staff, and reasonable prices makes it a standout choice. Happy shopping!

I’ve always enjoyed shopping at this market. The staff are usually friendly, and the prices are fair. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was very disappointing. The checkout staff was rude and unprofessional—no greeting, no "please" or "thank you," and no basic courtesy at all. Her facial expression was cold and unfriendly the entire time, which made the interaction feel very uncomfortable. It honestly felt like I was unwelcome. According to the receipt, the name was "Tina" (not sure if that’s accurate), a young lady. This experience really made me question whether I want to come back.

I had a very upsetting experience at this store. During my visit, an employee made inappropriate and offensive comments about my English ability, including questioning why I came to the U.S. if I do not speak English well. This made me feel deeply disrespected and humiliated as a customer. Many immigrants come to this country while still learning English, and no one deserves to be treated this way. I believe basic respect should be shown to all customers. I hope management takes this issue seriously and provides proper training to staff.
