H Mart Schaumburg

Love the food but quality can vary. They need something to cool the kimbaps like the Naperville one because the seaweed can get weird tasting fast. Most of the time the musubis are delicious but today I found something inside of it that I don’t want to mention. As long as you check for quality you should be fine, I hope the new hmart in Schaumburg is conscious about food safety especially since a lot of the food is delicate.

I love Korean roasted sweet potatoes. But these? I think I just got a side of "authentic farm soil." Even after peeling, the dirt crumbles into the potato. The worker told me "this is how Koreans eat it" — lol, no, I’ve never experienced this in Korea. I came for sweet potato, not a mouthful of mud. Clean them before cooking, then sell. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Google might take to the closed location but it up the street. Had to go to 420 East Golf Road If you enter from the left side you can’t access the bathrooms until you check out. Enter through the right ride where the cafe & food court is to use bathrooms before you go in. Not sure if you can enter the shopping area through there or have to go back outside. They didn’t have the kopiko blanco coffee I wanted. Nice items but small price item add up. Paid $65 for all my things. Doesn’t let me add picture but all items range $3-4. curry pouches 4x $2.50 ($10) one curry pouch $4, 1x sock $4, cooking tongs $3, 1 box rice bowls 12pc price on sale $9, kopiko brown coffee $11, 2x strawberry rolls $6 for both, instant miso soup pouch $4, 1pk 4pc shin noodle $3.50, lighter $2.50, wheat flour on salt $4 (org $5) not much but added up way more than expected. Not even groceries.

Grand opening! Congratulations, and best wishes to our new HMart Schaumburg with Market Eatery and Food Hall. The grand opening signage is hung, the balloon arch cascades attracting the line of people, and courteously, patio-heaters positioned along the sidewalk of partons eager to shop the newly expanded location for our village's Korean market. It's already our favorite place to pick up Illinois-grown soybean made into tofu, rice and basic staples: rice wine vinegar, shoyu, waygu beef, kimchi, tropical/asian produce, and more. I saw them take an open parishable food item out the trash and put it back on the shelf. I found an open container of kimchi on the shelf. I grabed it and a fresh one from the shelf and brung it to the checkout. I threw the open container of kimchi in the garbage since it was open and not able to be resealed. I went to the car to grab my wallet. When I came back to purchase my unopened container of kimchi the cashier told me "[she] took the open kimchi container out the trash because the store takes care of it. They dont throw away open container." I was in shock that she took the container out of the trash. But that was nothing to when she then preceeds to put it back on the shelf in front of me after telling me she took it out of the trash. I looked at the manager and said "I retrieved my wallet so that I can pay for the kimchi I wanted" "But the one the employee put on the shelf she took out the trash and was opened." The manager smiles and say they handle those things on their own. I could not beleve they put opened damaged good back on the shelf to be sold or to contaminate the surrounding products. In stead of buying my package of Kimchi I leave the store. For them to blatantly remove open packages from the trash and put them on the shelf for the next customer to buy made me extremely untrusting of the package and any other items I'd was intending to buy. I would not get anything store packaged from them. Especially with them blatantly breacking health and sanitation codes. BEWARE

This is a small size Hmart, but has most of the things a regular market has. Just taking up less shelf space and a tightened shelf layout. The produce section is very respectable. It is clean, organized, and well managed. But there is no food court.

Fresh vegetables, meat for stew , hotpot, soup, decent selection of seafood, huge selection of sauce, soft drinks, noodles, and some rice. They also have cooked food and bakery. It’s a smaller H Mart in this area, but it has plenty of selections.
