I was really looking forward to enjoying a nice watermelon, but unfortunately, the one I bought turned out quite disappointing. Although the color looked perfect, the inside was mostly mushy, and the rest had no sweetness at all. I ended up throwing it away. I understand that choosing fruit can be tricky, but I hope the store pays a bit more attention to quality so customers can enjoy their purchases with confidence.

I’ve been to this new location many times since it opened and now it’s become my go to super market. Always an abundance of fruit and produce on sale as well as snacks. One time they had a 20lb bag of green onions for $4.99! Today it was 3 for 0.99 which is still a great price compared to other places. Their snacks are always on sale for as low as $1.99 each. If you like it, you better get more before prices go up. I especially love their frozen section with an entire wall of Asian popsicles and ice cream. They have samples just like Costco. There’s a hot food area under a tent. Other vendors up front include jewelry store, a few beauty and cosmetics, clothes, and Pop Mart stuff. Paris Baguette Bakery. The parking in front is not that big. More parking around the building but I haven’t been back there. Lots of Tesla charging stations.

I just LOVED this Asian market!! They have everything, and when I say I mean it! You have to go at least once, from produce, fresh seafood, meats, imported/exported products you’ll find them here. They also have like little stores inside the market, like beauty products, clothing, toys, etc. Have in mind if you go you’re going to spend a lot because they have so much stuff (it happened to me 😂) They also have a big free parking lot. Overall, a fantastic market experience and highly recommended. Almost forgot, the best part, they have inside a Paris Baguette bakery for those with sweet tooth!!

Love love love this store! The incredible selection of seafood, kimchi, every Korean food under the sun, as well as an enormous, impressive produce department and all at amazing prices makes this one of my favorite go-to stores. Not to mention the Parisian bakery inside!

The cashier is very rude to customer with no triggers. The guy, mid-age, with a black plastic-framed glasses, treat us very rude when we checked out at his counter. He said something to us with out looking at us and intended not to make it clear to let us hear it. He keeps repeating it for 3 to 4 times, then he becomes angry. He pointed to our cart. I was thinking he want me to lift the watermelon to the counter top for scanning. I did it. He become even more angry. Suddenly pull our cart to us and front to the counter. Drop the items that been scanned back to cart.. Now I realized he want me to clean up the counter bar, so he can put the scanned items there. But what makes me unacceptable is, from very beginning to the end, he never talked to us. I was reminding him I have a watermelon in cart. Remind him not forget to scan it. He never response to it. And start to blame us for something else. This is totally not acceptable. We came to your store for shopping, not intended to be picked and blamed. The cashier has a weird ego. trying to regulate customer and teach customer.. I feel this store has a strange culture as well. Trying to teach everyone and make regulations on everyone. Interesting.

New Zion Market store further eastward opposite side of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard is nicer but smaller than the previous location. Only has 1/3 of the parking but adequate amount of Tesla EV parking spaces. Handful of shops along 2 perimeters but no more food court.
