Figs n Olives Mediterranean market

This is a wonderful market with fresh produce, meats, cheese, breads, frozen foods, dry goods, canned foods, snacks and more. The selection of produce is limited due to the size of the shop, but the quality of the is great. Many of the items here you just cannot find at any major traditional grocery stores. I really like to come and try out new things and also to get some regular items like lavash bread and Turkish coffee. I've come here numerous times now and the staff is friendly and helpful.

I was so excited to see what fig and olives was all about being a Palestinian. And the store was more than I imagined. They had everything to make an Arab girls heart happy and missing her roots being new to the area and not seeing a lot of Arab stores. But while I was checking out the 2 gentlemen were literally sitting there talking shit about me,not knowing I know Arabic.it honestly made me so uncomfortable and embarrassed of my self.now I don’t think I can ever step foot in that store nor recommend them to my huge family.It literally made me cry in my car. I’m all ready going through so much in my life and feeling low about my self.remember people if you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say it at all. You don’t know what one person goes through life just for you to make it worse.

Very Clean. Well priced Staff are nice and respectful The food is good quality and a lot of choices I love the vegtables and fruits, market price but clean and fresh locally sourced

I was vacationing n stopped into this quaint store n bought the best apricots n peaches ever! I felt like I had personally picked them off the trees myself. So sweet n juicy. Thanks for making my vacation special!

I love this place. My favorite thing is the Taboon Flat bread. Its crispy and soft when heated in a skillet. I also make pizza on it. A little olive oil, favorite toppings, and 10-12 minutes in a 450 oven, Delish!!! Great place to stop for an assortment of vegtable. There is not a huge varity but everything is much fresher then the grocery store.

This market is one of the best kept secrets in the area. Makes my wife and I feel like family. Hard to find like Middle Eastern cheeses, Bulgarian and French Feta, fresh pita and breads, great fresh produce and meats. All kinds of exotic sweets(yes, Turkish delites and Baklava.) They also know our names. Very good prices, but even if I could save a dollar or two, I would rather give my money to a true local.

I think I've rated this a four before and that was due to better staffing. They all speak English at this location. When they have enough staff they're always very helpful and they can actually introduce you to some dishes that you would not consider by just adding a spice or something that has been imported from the Mediterranean area. It's not the prettiest of places but I would definitely go there to save my trip into downtown Sacramento. I consider Fulton and El Camino downtown.
