Taipei Oriental Market

I really love this place. The shelves are incredibly clean. At most other Asian stores I’ve been to, customers often have to dig through piles of items, and sometimes the products are even expired. But here, it’s clear that the owner keeps everything well-maintained and clean. I’m truly impressed.

I came here for several times already, good service, packing very carefully, fresh vegetables.

So glad to see this place is still open and thriving! This was my go-to store in Roanoke for all of my Asian groceries. They had the best prices, were always friendly, and nothing was expired. Before I had to move away, I stocked up on all the sauces and dry goods I knew I couldn't get for the same price anywhere else! I miss visiting all the time...

Super nice lady owner. Best place for bok choy. Produce delivered on Saturdays. Very organized, clean and well stocked.

The cleanest and most organized Asian market I've been to. The price is also very reasonable, lots of items are even cheaper than on the Weee app, which is not the case at other Asian markets. I wish there were more fresh veggies products though. The owner is sweet and friendly.

My wife is Filipino and this is her favorite shop in the area. Clean, neat and the products are not expired like we find in many stores. Everything is fresh and clean. The owner is very polite and helpful. Due to items being shipped over distances, it is understandable that an item might briefly got out of stock, I prefer this to getting expired product from over ordering.

Well organized and has quite a few options for pan-Asian cooking. This is the only Asian market I go to in the city because I can get what I need easily and quickly. It can be a bit expensive, but I chalk this up to keeping the doors open. Also, I like seeing Mae and asking how she is doing - she has always been polite to me, but I am also polite and respectful to her. Sometimes she even lets me have my favorite drink for free when I spend a lot. Some may not think that’s much, but I think it’s a sweet gesture.
