Daiso - Japanese Household Goods

be careful, you will want everything when you walk in here. every snack looks delicious. every drink you want to open right there. so many cute boxes. wonderful plushies. cashier offered to grab us a cold drink, he was awesome. awesome theme song. so many baskets for every need. cute fake flowers.

I like the Daiso concept and some of their items are quite fun, but some of their items are way over priced (all items are $2.50 or more). Honestly, the manager here is the worst. I bought a measuring tape from the store. Although most of the packaging was in Japanese, it clearly had the length of the measuring tape listed in inches at the top of the pkg. To my surprise, the measuring tape had centimeters printed on both sides of the tape (no inches)! I understand that they don’t allow for returns, but the labeling was quite deceptive. I asked if I might be able to exchange the item for something else. The manager abruptly and rudely insisted they had a "no return policy" and even asked me to leave the store when I tried reasoning with her that the item was labeled incorrectly and so I was not aware I was buying something different from what was labeled on the packaging. The customer service is sub-par at this store. Shop here at your own risk.

I just had my first shopping experience at Daiso and freaking loved it! Wonderful variety of merchandise that is affordable and I can’t say enough about the customer service. Mars was super friendly and helpful! 5 stars!!!

I love Daiso! I've been going to Daiso for almost 15 years. I used to go quite often where I used to live, but then I moved and was sad I didn't have one nearby anymore. I'm so excited that I have one locally again! If you love Japanese culture or just want to try something new in the area, go try it out. There's something for everyone in Daiso. They have many signs around, so you can understand the price conversion from yen to US dollars. All the employees seem to be very friendly and willing to help. They don't really have much anime stuff, but lots of Sanrio merch and Disney. Everything is pretty reasonably priced. I 100% recommend this store, and honestly, you should drop everything and go to Daiso now!

Pretty cool novelty shop with a lot of traditional & contemporary Japanese foods and novelties. Pricing was pretty good and they had a lot more practical items than I expected.

Meh. I don't know what I was expecting. I love Muji so I was excited for a Japanese Home goods store. I've never been to a Daiso before. Daiso has a lot of plastic goods from China with Japanese labels. It's like a Japanese dollar store. There's a lot of things but none are high quality. I guess if you need something in a pinch and no one else has it, it would be a good option.
