This nationwide "chain" is my personal go-to market due to its convenient location. I personally think it has gone downhill since the pandemic. Nevertheless, the produce section is equivalent to a visit to wholefoods. A team of workers literally pick through the boxes and pre assemble the vegetables in front of you in IG worthy packages. The prices are much better than many other shops - especially given the quality. The dry goods section is as extensive with a whole aisle of soy sauce from China to Thailand and Indonesia. The meats department has high-end breeds (e.g., Berkshire, Wagyu, etc), but has limited cuts. If you are familiar with other 99 Ranch stores, this one is probably not at the same calibre.

I used to go shopping to Big Y and before that was Hannaford supermarket and I stopped for 2 years and then I heard about the 99 Ranch mark That they have a fresh sea food, fresh fruits and vegetables in great prices, You can take your fish clean without extra cost. You also have the opportunity to experiment with the great and mostly unknown variety of the Asian food products. The only downside is the difficulty in communication. Clean place and the staff was nice too.

I made the mistake of visiting this store on a busy Saturday morning-it was totally mobbed! The aisles were packed and checkout was brutal because the lines were very long & they don’t offer self-checkout and there were only a few open registers. I was both disgusted and fascinated by the quantity and variety of available products (disgusted by the dead chickens hanging out in the open near the deli and by the severely overcrowded fish/lobster tanks-clearly, this poses an increased risk for problems with health/safety/sanitation-furthermore, the blatant disregard for even minimal standards for animal welfare is deplorable. On a positive note: I was fascinated by the many unique & unusual flavors of Lay’s potato chips-I purchased the cucumber flavor-I didn’t really care for them though. I was also impressed by quality and variety of fresh produce-I had never seen a jack fruit in real life before-they’re HUGE!! I also got a kick out of some of the product marketing/packaging/logos-surely, something must be lost in translation-I mean, what is "Hot Kid milk flavored drink"?! "Hot Kid" feels kinda inappropriate to me 😳

Probably the best place n MA to buy raw shrimps. I did faced some weird stares while visiting the shop. customers often break queues and the employees don’t take any action.

Nice Asian grocery store with the freshest fruits and veggies compared to the Kam Man. Mostly Chinese stuff but you can also find Japanese, Korean, and south Asian groceries. No longer has the butcher shop that you could order from. All meats are prepackaged. Fish market is still open but has limited selection compared to H Mart. Can clean and cut the fish the way you want.

It is easy to get in but so hard to get out. Very long line both when check out and drive out of the plaza. If you buy over $50 today, you get a 5lbs rice bag. If you register the 99 + you club, you get 4 "Want want yogurt drink". Vegetables are fresh and much more variety than other market in the area. Baker's corner and hot deli looks delicious. I've just bought, still not try. Seafood looks fresh. Other products are similar with Hmart or Cmart but have some promotions for grand opening and for member. Overall it is a new experience for Quincy, just too busy for the first day. And it is Chinese friendly since some staffs only can speak Chinese.

On May 31st, I went to 99 Ranch Market in Quincy, MA and purchased two types of fish, one was fresh tilapia. I placed the tilapia into a cooler with ice in my car to bring it home, when I got home I was met with a big surprise. When I opened the cooler and brought out the tilapia, I was attacked by an extreme odor of rotten fish, it did not look like the fish I saw when I purchased it. Take a look at the photos attached, it looks like a fish that was rotten for days! We live at best an hour's drive away! The gas would be more than the refund! Keep an eye on your purchases, they might trick you like this!!! Buyers beware!!!
