Zupran’s is absolutely adorable. They have lots of organic options and high-quality products. I love that they’ll wrap any flowers you buy into a bouquet. I watched someone in front of me buy just one rose, and they wrapped it beautifully. They even have a caviar fridge, and their packaging is honestly so cute. I’m a sucker for good packaging. There’s a small bakery section, though I wish it were a bit bigger. They also have a very nice wine selection and aged balsamic options. Such a charming little spot with great attention to detail.
Horrible Deli Service! Shop here all the time. Today I got a few hot baked chicken thighs. The service guy wearing black stocking cap and striped shirt threw each chicken up in the air with tongs and into the box. Must have thought throwing food was funny. I was in shock and didn’t have any words at the moment. Been a long day. I don’t think this would be safe service if I was older Caucasian. I grabbed a manager and explained everything. He said we hold ourselves to better service standards and that all other managers are out today. Late afternoon. He was leaving for the day. Customers need to be aware of these things. Next time I will refuse accepting this service. No apologies were made. Nothing done. I hope they read this review and take future actions.
They normally have decent green chili tamales but they were out today so I decide to try the red pork tamales. They were not it. They crumbled as soon as took off the leaf, they tasted like tofu tamales aka fake tamales. They went straight to the trash can.
I recently reported concerns with clamshell packaged fruits and vegetables that arrived in a food bag delivered to me from LiftUp on January 2, 2026. In doing so, I was treated with great disrespect and care as a woman, senior, and person with disabilities. The leadership was not only disrespectful, but lacked concern for me or any of the other marginalized folks that experienced physical and emotional impact from food that was 7 days past the sell by date delivered to us. I asked leadership to look into their community partnerships and to establish appropriate controls to ensure the care of others in making food donations. What I got was vomit and diarrhea over a 4 hour period on January 2nd and zero accountability, responsibility or feedback of findings from Zupans to date! In fact, I spoke to Patrick, Carl, Sean Patrick and the GM over 4 days. The GM was the least interested in corrective action. Insane!! Someone less healthy than me could have gotten death! This store, its leadership is so pompous, and its clientele clearly so privileged they care little about the community around them! The wildest part of the story is they were clueless on how their food ended up in a LiftUp food bag nor did they seem to care. Where is the accountability and social responsibility??
Great luxe type grocery store. Excellent staff. My favorite feature is the basket of odd lots of different cheeses. I think it's whatever is leftover after the standard measure pieces have been portioned out. But they are small and therefore it's a cheaper way to try something new and avoid waste.
This is the premier grocery/market in all of Portland, distinguished by its exceptional customer service and welcoming atmosphere. Their bakery offers So many fresh baked items I just love their bakery and their juice bar and their coffee bar and their delectable chocolate chip cookies. They also make an excellent latte. The store boasts an unparalleled selection of high-quality and gourmet olive oils. It is truly a delightful shopping experience with so many unique varieties.
The cheesemonger is very knowledgeable and the selection is great. Lots of high end goodies but watch for high end prices. I enjoyed my trip but sadly I may not be back. They do not have a cart available for disabled people. I will have to load up my scooter if I ever want to shop there again.
