Roman Russian Food Store

A small market with a cafe inside. They have a lot of Eastern European and Russian food items that you don't find in regular markets. They have produce, a meat department and a pharmacy area. There is also a hot food bar. It is cramped inside the store. We had to wait quite a while to check out, but I think an employee may have just gotten injured and they were dealing with that

yum, buy local applies to the cooking more than the products, eh? The Ukrainian word for bodega/tienda is not yet known to me 😉 plenty goodness crammed in here, especially front 2 aisles en route to fish balls in can(s) 😋more often I buy ice cream novelty yum 😋

Easily the best Eastern European Market in the Portland Metro! They have things you will not be able to find anywhere else. There prices are very good, and there fresh bread is amazing! If you are in town, and need Russian and Eastern European food, come here, seriously!

We visited this café for lunch with friends and ordered fruit tea. Unfortunately, it was served in disposable cups, which felt out of place in a sit-down restaurant. When we asked about it, the staff didn’t apologize but instead acted surprised. It left us with the impression that customer comfort isn’t a priority here. Proper cups and a more attentive attitude would really improve the experience.

I asked for the sausage to be cut into pieces. When we opened it at home, we were horrified to see that the work had been done unprofessionally. We had to throw it out because it was dirty, and the skin was still on. This is unprofessional service and terrible food handling. Avoid this store.

Oh man. This place is good. Besides the excellent market, they have amazing hot foods and outstanding coffee.

Great spot for Russian and Eastern European treats. Candy, kvass, pastries, deli items, seasonings, bakery and super nice helpful employees. Thank you. Fresh baked dark rye breads. Mmmm. There is also a cafe with soups/sandwiches and wonderful crepes.
