I’m excited to find a store with so many amazing spices! They also have lots of frozen, refrigerated, as well as fresh produce. Not huge, but the variety is unique! There is also a lunch buffet and I’ll be stopping back in for some soon! Looked amazing, but it was 10am and wasn’t time to eat. Will be back 👍
What a wild combo - Indian and Micronesian. But, it works. I'm there for the tea because they got lots of loose leaf Indian tea at a good price. You need to bulk up your spice collection, they got you. Enough masala to cook all your South Asian favorites. You need some rice and pulses, it's there for you, too. On the Micronesian-side of things, I can only talk about the fashion, but I know they got some hard to find delicacies in there
The best butter chicken on this side of town or possibly in the world because I have never eaten better! It is so good that we get double so we can eat leftovers too! A meal for two is about $10 depending on what you get! All authentic cuisine and there is a large shop with lots of Southern Pacific produce and grocery items there too. It is hard to do their food justice in a photograph. Absolutely delicious!
After spending $1000+ on saris, the wife of the owner was really rude when I wanted to try on a necklace set to go with the several saris I’d just purchased. She told me that I can only try on the necklace if I could guarantee that I was going to purchase it. How can I know if I would like to purchase a necklace set without trying on the necklace? I was going to purchase a set anyway, I was just debating between 2 similar sets. In this economy, you should be lucky we even drove from Seattle to give you our business. That was tacky — super rude!
This is a large sized Indian store with a huge selection of groceries, traditional clothes, an authentic Indian kitchen of entrees prepared by the owner herself. She is an excellent cook. The indoor seating was closed due to Covid. Larger grocery section, authentic island bakery items in the fridge and freshly made in the am. Her Hawaiian food was loved by my mother in law who doesn’t like anything other than meat and potatoes. She even had excellent quality Carrom boards for sale, and it brought back memories when my uncles and cousins taught me how to play it. My kids love to play on rainy days…
A small, but well-stocked and organized store. They’ve got a lot of fresh herbs you can’t find anywhere else in the city. Delicious snacks, chutneys, and a takeout section too with some really delightful looking curries. Highly recommend their house made chili salt. The staff were a friendly, no-nonsense bunch.
