Litas Fish Market - Oceanside

When you need that Asian food that you can't find at the local grocery store, Litas is that place!

Great selection of fish and Filipino and Asian staples. I mainly go here for the fish, but I've visited to buy some lumpia and sauces as well. The way the fish counter works is you pick your fish and hand it to the fish cleaner behind the counter in the back. He hands you a ticket and you go to the front to pay. Return back with the receipt and collect your cleaned fish! You also have the option of them frying your fish for a fee - which really hits the spot on those warmer days. Highly recommend it here.

Great gem to score hard-to-find Asian groceries. I live on the East Coast, but whenever I'm home I stop here!

It's a Filipino Asian market selling all the basics for cooking Pinoy style..they also have a good selection of fresh Asian veggies..and snacks. What I like is you can pick your fish and they'll clean and fry it for you. I just wish they'd update and display their prices clearly. Also don't forget to check out their ice cream freezer. 😉

Overcharge for their fish. I ordered the fish in the back the guy weighed then cleaned. I asked to reweigh after the fish was cleaned. There was a one pound difference. I overpaid $10.00 for fish I didn't get. The store keeper said there is nothing she can do and that paying $10.00 for 1 pound less is fair. These are unfair business practices! No one should extra money for fish the didn't get. Weight after cleaning! Reporting to BBB.

One of the few Filipino stores in Oceanside. They have only food but they have a lot of it. Fish, vegetables, snacks and bread and other snacks are can be found here. Certain products come on certain days and at certain times. Bananas and fruits for example come Thursday in the late afternoon. Prices are fair. They have the basic condiments, ingredients used for Filipino dishes, plus some Filipino snacks. Allows only 6 people in the store at a tine because of social distancing requirements. Clean. They have fresh fishes, too!
