H Mart Niles

The H-mart is a really big store and has lots of good products. It has everything from vegetables to restaurants to goods from across Asia. Definitely recommend checking out this Korean supermarket

Great selection of fresh vegetables, meat and seafood. Prepared food selection includes sushi, nigiri boxes, bibimbap, fried fish, chicken etc, pretty good. The french style bakery at the entrance is the bomb. They make perfect pasteis de nata. They serve good coffee too.

Very clean at Korean standard clean which means high. That’s why I love Hmart. Staff keep things very sanitary and good. They sell food and veges and fruit and Korean shampoo and appliances and aprons and there is also a food court. Seating for food court which closes at 7:30pm to 8:00pm while the store itself closes at 10pm. So much to try in the frozen and snacks section as well as meats and seafood. Huge free parking lot. Also a a free bathroom. And kimchi fridges and freezers and furniture also.

HMart is a complete experience, almost like being in South Korea, in terms of the food court, supermarket and the "shopping street" of small shops. The food court focuses on Korean and Korean-influenced Asian food. There is a nice bakery/coffee shop as well. Each shop has a few tables but it can get crowded at peak times. The supermarket has an extensive selection of items, again mostly Korean, but with some other Asian options. The alcohol selection is especially impressive with many kinds of adult beverages that you will not find elsewhere. The produce section also has a variety of pretty rare fruits and vegetables (durians, jackfruits, lychees, rambutans....) Unfortunately, and this applies to the food court, as well, things are definitely not cheap. No political statement intended but the current tariff regime may be adding to costs. After you pass the supermarket cash registers, you are in a "street" of Korean shops, selling snacks, cosmetics, clothes, dishware and cooking utensils, massage chairs and other unique to Korea items. There is a small video game arcade and a Korean beauty salon, as well. Pro Tip You can get discount tickets for neighbouring King Spa and Sauna here at HMall. Even if you have no interest in Korean food and even if you buy nothing in the store, it is worth a visit for the cultural experience. In my personal opinion, of course....which is the only opinion I am qualified to give😉

One of the most comprehensive Asian / Korean food market. The prices and quality of the food, alcohol, and home and kitchen wares are unmatched. The fresh seafood section is clean, well maintained, and odor is minimal. The canteens and other shops are a nice plus.

I visit from out of state yearly, we get a hotel nearby specifically because of this Hmart. Growing up, my family would road trip down. Now my wife and I make it a yearly tradition to visit this area of Illinois for the Korean food and goods. Do yourself a favor and set aside an afternoon to shop and get a meal from the food court. There are also mini shops around the checkout area. All have fun stuff. On your way out PLEASE stop by the Korean Mini Walnut Cake shop. If is by far my favorite treat, possibly ever. They're made with a really neat mechanical device that is hand loaded with walnuts, but the dough is added to it automatically and carried around this whimsical frying merry go-roound. They travel very well, so its great for road trips!

An Absolute Gem! Clean, Abundant, and Amazing. Wow, I am just blown away by the H Mart in Niles. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place is on another level. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly clean and organized everything is. The floors shine, the produce is neatly stacked, and there are no weird smells—it just makes for a really pleasant shopping experience. But the selection... it's just unbelievable! The produce section is massive, with fresh fruits and vegetables I can't find anywhere else. The seafood and meat departments are top-notch, with an amazing variety of fresh cuts and marinated options perfect for a Korean BBQ night. The aisles are a treasure hunt of delicious snacks, sauces, noodles, and everything in between. Whether you're looking for specific ingredients for a recipe or just want to discover something new, you'll find it here. Plus, the food court is the perfect spot to grab a delicious and authentic meal. Honestly, H Mart isn't just a grocery store; it's an experience. It’s abundant in every sense of the word. I would recommend this place to absolutely anybody, whether you're a serious home cook or just looking for a fantastic place to shop. I'll definitely be back!
