This Super Fresh grocery store has so many rules that I avoid going there. I can’t use a credit card if my purchase is under $10. On weds, seniors get 10% off but only if the purchase is over $10. This week they have egglands best large brown eggs, cage free on sale for $2.99. That was great and I decided to go in to get a dozen. I looked around and didn’t even see the sign for the eggs. There was a short, Hispanic man standing nearby and I asked him regarding the eggs that are on sale. He said sold out but the sale is on until Thursday which the store opens. I asked him if he offers a substitute since I only need one dozen. He said no and walked away. What an attitude! How he feels if it was reverse or someone treats his mother like that? There was a tall, Hispanic man who did give me a substitute (pie) early this year. Looks like the nice worker is gone. I didn’t bother looking at the pies or ice cream and left. This store needs improvement in good customer service. I was in Keyfood once near Bklyn Hts (11201) and needed a dozen eggs. At that time, it was only $1.99 and the manager offered me a substitute immediately. Same situation where eggs were sold out but policy was different. I always remember how well customers were treated in other Keyfood but in this branch, Super Fresh located near police plaza, on St James Place, some workers need to improve their attitude with customers. Their frozen dept is not always fresh but over priced in most items, (veggies are good), lots of stupid policies and not helpful towards customers. This neighborhood is in need of a supermarket where good customer service exists and price is reasonable. Super Fresh definitely isn’t the supermarket.

Solid stock and selection across the board. This is the best general purpose supermarket in the immediate vicinity to the neighborhood and definitely bound to be the most well priced option since the others are much closer to the financial district. I’m pretty sure their grill is open from the beginning of the day well into the afternoon so if you’re looking for a breakfast sandwich or a made to order lunch you’ve got a good shot are getting what you’re after. Good selection of produce and even some ready to eat salads make this a good stop for most people’s needs. Accepting contactless payment methods is a major plus for me as well.

Good for quick stops, in and out... Not a GREAT variety of brands, but very moderately sensible prices. Taking advantage of their reasonable sales weekly, is a great way to save even more cash... EBT Accepted.

The cashiers are friendly, there is a variety of products but sadly they are very expensive for me. Everything is well organized but I have caught one or another expired product on the shelves 😣 I often come here to shop because they serve well and there is an adorable child who helps bag the products (which in other establishments they do not help you even if you make purchases of $300 or more) I still recommend coming here because it's acceptable, they also have a newspaper with weekly offers/promotions but it's usually products that I don't need to buy at the moment.

I never post reviews unless I have strong feelings about an establishment that future visitors should know. When this place was a C-town it had good deals. Last month I visited the new "Super fresh" for the first time, just curious how the market has changed. There was nothing super or fresh about the place. Since I didn't see anything I needed or wanted to buy, I started to exit the market. An older worker, whom I assumed was the owner or manager, stopped me at the door and asked "You didn't buy anything?" I said no. Then he accused me of STEALING 😲 "You didn't take any merchandise?" and looked at my bag. Just because I chose not to buy anything from your low-stocked, deal-less, and below average store, doesn't mean I am a thief. OMG!!! 😱 Everyone at the registers were looking, I have never been so embarrassed and traumatized (and angry obviously). I'm never patronizing this store ever again, and neither should you!!! 😡

Complaint about this Cashier Nicole (from my Receipt dated 5/6/26 - invoice 00110602 - Since Cororate office DID NOT RSPOND TO MY EMAIL , I Deciced to post the letter (to corporate here to the rest of America to see) My in-laws / I visited the store as I usually do to purchase my weekly groceries. At checkout, I had one reusable bag with me but no additional recycling bag. When I requested another bag, a woman named Nicole charged me 5 cents for it. I pointed out that individuals using EBT and SNAP benefits are exempt from this fee. Upon hearing this, I noticed her expression change, as if she was aware of the regulations but was acting as if she knew more about SNAP and EBT than I did. Fortunately, a short Latino man who worked in the store overheard our conversation and corrected her, stating that I was right. It seems that her anger towards my 64-year-old in-law was far from resolved. She rang up my groceries without offering any assistance in bagging them. After completing the transaction, she stood with her arms crossed, awaiting the next customer. Furthermore, she carelessly dropped the receipt on my groceries and moved on to the next customer, disregarding my items. There was no expression of gratitude or acknowledgment. I would ask you to to review the camera footage, as it captures everything. I am uncertain if she is new, but he mentioned that she has never interacted with this cashier before. It is essential for her to understand the importance of respect and adherence to protocols. If she is unfamiliar with the standard operating procedures (SOP), she should consult the manager rather than being confrontational and dismissive towards customers. Such behavior can significantly impact the reputation of a well-established brand like Key Food. I have been part of this establishment since 1977, and it takes years to cultivate a brand's name. A single misstep, such as the one made by Nicole, can tarnish Key Food's reputation. If this individual is unable to effectively engage with customers, she should not be representing your brand.
