Sunrise has been around for a long time. I used to come here in the late ’90s and early 2000s when I worked near Grand Central, and it’s amazing to see how much they’ve grown. What used to be a small shop with just a few dishes is now two locations next to each other. Their food is always delicious and reasonably priced. The onigiri are the best — $3.99 plus tax, bigger and cheaper than the ones at the nearby Japanese market. High-quality products from Japan.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The fish was not fresh and tasted sour, which ruined the meal. This makes me doubt the quality and reliability of this place as a Japanese restaurant. To make matters worse, I experienced stomach pain after eating here today, raising concerns about their food safety standards. I strongly urge the restaurant to improve their ingredient freshness and quality control.

Must try🧋 Yuzu iced tea Selective vegetarian food options however, the drinks tasted really good. Good for a quick stop to stock up on yum food. The prices are not crazy and it’s feasible!

The restaurant sells many kinds of Japanese-style bento, such as udon noodles and Japanese fried chicken. There are 2-3 tables in front of the restaurant and some seats on the second floor. The environment in the restaurant is clean, the air conditioning temperature is moderate and comfortable, and the attitude of the staff is good. The fried chicken bento I bought was cold, which is a pity. It would have tasted better if it was hot. If you come here to buy lunch, it is recommended to order directly from the staff. The freshly made meals are more delicious when they are hot. The sashimi sushi is much more delicious. The sashimi is very fresh. If you dare to eat it, I recommend buying it.

I had the BEST mango pudding here. So good🥹❤️ other desserts looked also so delicate and yum🤤 they have a wide variety of japanese stuff and the price is cheap compared to the other stores in the city! I will visit often!

A small market to the side, and then a food space where you get udon, soba, rice balls, sushi, etc. Prices are ok; the soba was salty, and the karaage was cold (need to warm up in the microwave, but then not as good as fresh / hot crunch). Seating upstairs and a few downstairs. Pay for food first, then pick up from the grill/ordering area.
