Jubilee Marketplace

Jubilee can be a bit pricier, as they specialize in remote locations. Since the rise of pandemic-and-after grocery prices, feels like other places have caught up to these prices. This place saved me many times, when I worked such long days that I couldn’t make it off the Boulevard. A good resource for residents and folks enjoying the West Side Path. I have lived here when there was only a high-end bodega, and before that, nothing. Produce is excellent. Coffee and bakery and deli are popular. Good selection of ice cream and chips. During the day, there is fresh made lunch for customers, building staff and construction workers. Recently, the cashiers and food counter people have been consistently kind; always speedy. Never, ever has there been a line that’s too long. The store is relatively new, and clean. I rotate my big haul shopping around the larger upper west side stores. Jubilee is a fill-in, but I come here more and more often.

Honestly, 0 stars if I could. Every time I go in there I see people with their dogs despite the store’s very obvious NO DOGS ALLOWED SIGN! Shame on the SELFISH people bringing their dogs into the store (and even sometimes I SEE DOGS PUTTING THEIR NOSE IN THE PRODUCE) and SHAME on the management for never enforcing this rule.

My go to spot in that area- the people who work there especially the cashiers are so wonderful- the place has it all - groceries hot cold food to go - coffee desserts even flowers

I honestly have nothing to say but just wow the manager came off as aggressive when I wanted to complain about a moldy sourdough! They gave me a refund but despite that I didnt want to experience such behavior towards me since I just wanted to know why their bread is there when its moldy, another thing I've noticed is dogs being allowed in the store when there's signs of no dogs being allowed except service dogs, so unsanitary this place lost my business for good, once the manager gives better customer service and satisfaction perhaps they'll be way more customers.

I honestly felt bad for the employees here. You can clearly see how poorly the place is managed. The women managers treat the staff unfairly and play favorites, while the male managers seem to be the only ones who treat people with respect. It’s obvious that certain employees get special treatment, while others are overworked and stressed. As a customer, it was uncomfortable to watch. The staff looked exhausted and underappreciated, and it definitely affected the overall service and atmosphere. It’s not the employees’ fault at all — they’re doing their best — but the favoritism and lack of fair management really shows. Management should focus on treating all employees equally and supporting their team instead of creating such an unfair environment. Do better.

Store gets a 5 stars, unfortunately I bought a sandwich and its definitely not worth the money spent. Not enough meat looks like 3 slices. Smh

This Jubilee has everything you could ask for. From the person making the bagels to the one ringing you up, the staff are incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful. Always a great experience here!
