Johnny Air Mart

This grocery store is quite small, but it carries all the basic Filipino pantry essentials. They also have some heatable cooked Filipino food. I live in the East Village so it’s really convenient to have Johnny Air Mart a few blocks away from me. The package delivery service downstairs is also a big plus, especially if I need to ship something to the Philippines. I’ve also become friendly with the staff - they’re really nice people!

Filipino small store and grocery in east village I went here to grab a parcel box to send some items in the philippines and i was so amazed how friendly of a one black lady who worked at the store. I was looking for the johnny air office which is located at the basement area of this small store. I met mr edward whom i always talked on the phone about buying the box and he was so very accomodating and helped me reserved one box as the box is always a fast moving item as many people get a parcel box. He also provides proper information and never doubted to answer any queries even on the phone or in person. Strongly recommend for you to avail their services in sending some items/parcel to philippines.

Johnny Air Mart is a small specialty grocery selling foods items from the Philippines. the store space is packed with goods everywhere which makes the space feel really cramped. aisles of packaged ingredients, snacks, and pre-prepared eats and baked items. the store accepts cash and card. stopped by Johnny Air Mart — picked up a medium bag of pork rinds /chicharons, $5 as well as a bbq pork skewer, $3.50. the pork rinds bag were good snack. and the bbq pork skewer was fine—heavy on the bbq sauce not a lot of flavor in the meat. i’d probably come back here to buy snacks etc. though the prices here feel a bit high but this is all imported stuff at a mom&pop store. service was fast.

They were very accommodating. 😊 Probably the best place to buy your Pinoy grocery needs.

If you are looking for Filipino snacks, products or a quick bite this is the place to go, staff is very friendly, the store needs to improve its cleanliness.

I usually don't leave reviews but I wasted so much money here for rotten food. The sago pearls I bought were moldy after soaking in water for 3 hours (I've never seen moldy sago!), the ube pan de sal had moldy cheese inside, the sapin sapin cake was full of green fungus after being in the fridge for one day after purchase! This place is not only expensive but a scam. I'd rather go all the way to Woodside to get decent (and non rotten) Filipino groceries. AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS!

We stopped in here to look at the Filipino groceries and to get a quick snack. Love the selection. We got some warm siapoa that had egg plus pork/chicken. Only $2! They also had some prepared foods in sauces. We also got some nutcrackers for two dollars. The frozen selection was good (ube, buko, and mango) ice cream, but it was a little more pricey ($7-10)
