Now THIS is a grocery store/deli with personality. It never ceases to amaze me how some businesses are able to do so much with such tiny spaces. You have sushi, side dishes, fresh meat, fresh produce, Ichiran Ramen (kitchen was sadly closed when I went), hot bread, room temp bread, toys, anime fan art, leopard print wallpaper, dive bar decor, the works. Prices are also very reasonable. Would do all my grocery shopping here if I lived in the area.

I love this place!!!! They are like family and I have been driving them crazy for the last 8 years and plan to drive them crazy for another 8. They have awesome healthy lunch ideas that are already ready to eat and they also have groceries so if you ever wanted to try your luck at making Ramen or Karage chicken or Yakisoba the have all the ingredients you will need plus more surprises like presents for your kids…my kid loves presents from Japan and this is that Spot, do it!!!! It's definitely an experience! Like stepping back in time (I mean this in a good way) The egg sandwich I got was the best sandwich I ever had in my life. I purchased some condiments, skincare items, and a razor. Yes, a wide variety of items for such a tiny store. A man with gorgeous hair rang me up and was very friendly. I can't wait to come back and try their meals. If I lived in the city I'd come here everyday.

DAINOBU!!! NYC's best known/unknown gem... Beyond the amazing food and snacks peep the beautiful art. Last time, I came through I purchased 4 t-shirts as gifts for my family member. Artist and manager pictured and his amazing ART!!! Support your local businesses and artists!!!

love this little grocery store! it’s always nice to see john here, he’s very friendly. the place offers a great variety of asian snacks for the size of the space, and has some of the best and most reasonably priced food and to-go sushi. overall, always a wonderful experience here

Wonderful selection! After just coming back from Japan I was happy to see a bunch of my favorites in stock here. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended this great neighborhood Japanese market!

I have been going to this store for the last couple of years while working heavy in Midtown. I just love the fun atmosphere and the kind workers! The prepared food is always fresh along with the produce, the store is clean and well stocked with many items. It’s quite the gem. 💎
