I've had such unpleasant experiences with one staff employee at this supermarket around midnight (the Dominican older man with glasses at the last register) and due to this person I have vowed to finally not return. Twice every month, I religiously purchase at least 5 huge water dispenser Poland Spring jugs but this employee always gives me a hard time with my purchase. He doesn't greet or say thank you, either leaves me waiting after taking care of other customers (bc my transaction takes time), and didn't want to let me pay with my forms of payment in the order stated. I've had several disagreements with him, even when he overcharged me and didn't want to admit it and then when he realized it, he didn't even apologize! Such a rude and arrogant man who acts likes he's the owner of the store and has no sense of customer service! Please Cherry Valley managers, hire staff with professionalism and kindness that actually care for their job of overlooking the other employees who are actually happy and willing to help their customers.

This is one of the worst and most overpriced grocery stores on the Upper East Side. I absolutely hate it and urge everyone to stop shopping here. The produce is never fresh, the store is filthy, and I’ve even bought spoiled meat. No one cares. Prices are ridiculously high because they take advantage of customers, especially those using EBT and SNAP. This store knows better but continues to hike up prices while offering low-quality products in a filthy environment. I don’t understand why anyone still shops here. I’ve been doing everything in my power to report them to the city in hopes of getting this place shut down. Instead, everyone should shop at the new grocery store on 102nd and 1st. It’s clean, well-organized, and reasonably priced—even their cleaning supplies are more affordable. For example, as shown in the picture below, this store charges $2 more for the exact same brand of antibacterial soap.

Decent because it’s 24 hours. But as of 1/20/25, 1 avocado is $3. Insanity!

Buffet food is great. I just wish people would be more sanitary and so hovering over food as if it's their last meal. Other than that, this place has a great atmosphere and the food is great. So many selections to code u from and staff are helpful and kind. I recommend this place if you are visiting the Barrio.

The cooked food, the bakery area and the vegetables quality and the warm treatment will make you feel like a valued customer.

When I discovered this store I nearly cried from pure joy! Everyone is super friendly from the cashiers to the managers! Since I'm originally from California and half Mexican and half Guatemalan, I've gotten use to being able to find all my Latin ingredients very easily in Cali. In the past 4 and half years in NYC I have found it difficult to find the things I need. This store is everything I've ever wanted in a grocery store. They have fresh produce and are well stocked in all the basic items PLUS they have and excellent stock of my Latin favs! I couldn't ask for more! The first time I walked in I sent my sister photos and text to show her what I found! I will be a regular shopper!
