Hannam Supermarket

I’ve been their customer for two decades. They carry almost every Korean favorite, including popular Korean products and snacks. One downside is that it’s almost always crowded, and the parking lot is often full and hard to find a spot. Still, this is my go-to Korean market because the staff are always friendly and the produce, fruits, vegetables, and meats are consistently fresh. Highly recommended.

Terrible experience. The parking lot was completely full, and many of the older drivers couldn't park properly. While I was waiting, one car even tried to back out without checking behind them and nearly hit my car. The parking situation was absolute chaos. Inside wasn’t much better. I tried to buy a few items, but the checkout line didn’t move at all. After waiting for more than 30 minutes with no progress, I was so exhausted that I just left. I won’t be coming back.

Fully stocked of all basic korean and other asian foods. I love to come here for the ramen and their big selection of pickled veggies and kimchi. Its never too packed and theres plenty of parking

Hannam Chain has been my go-to market for over 20 years. It has always been well-known, and with its large parking lot and frequent sales, I never felt the need to shop anywhere else. These days, many H Marts have opened, so it may feel like Hannam Chain has slightly lost some attention, but I still stay loyal to this one store. In every aspect, I would love to give them 5 stars. The reason I’m giving only 3 stars is mainly because, despite still having a large number of customers, only about half of the cashier registers are open. During peak hours, the line can take more than 20 minutes. I really hope they improve this during busy times.

If you want something Korean, go to this market in Korea town Los Angeles. I don’t see any other Korean market bigger than this. So many choices, shelves are fully stocked and sometimes overwhelming. They have small restaurants inside. Fresh and frozen seafood, kimchis, alcoholic drinks, etc. Fast checkout. They old cashiers and her bagger spoke English here too. Parking is ample.

Great produce at a great price but experienced a microaggression from one of the cashiers at the moment. I am Mexican, and this is my local market, but I'm sad that it will not be returning again. I was very disappointed to see the cashier thinking I didn't have enough money, then she was flabbergasted when my card was approved. When I told her, yeah, I knew I had money, she brushed it off with an "oh well." Be advised that if you look like an "other," they will look at you sideways.

Hannam Chain is a Korean supermarket that offers a wide variety of asian products for a decent price. This chain of supermarkets competes with H Mart as they’re both popular Korean markets but this one has a more rustic atmosphere in contrast to H Mart more modern style. This market is large in size, but the aisles are pretty narrow which makes it a challenge to navigate through during peak hours. Some employees here aren’t very considerate as well, but the checkout guy was nice.
