This is a pristine and well-structured mart featuring numerous markdown items. It is conveniently situated in the basement of a lifestyle mall that features a mix of Korean eateries and entertainment facilities.
We went here on Friday afternoon, not a lot of people during that time. Parking is free for 2 hours. The store is clean and well organized. They have organic options too. I came here to buy organic corn. The staff are helpful. If you ate looking for hard to find Asian spices , thos is the place to go.I will definitely come back here .
Extremely poor and misleading parking experience. Shopped at H Mart and was charged $6.60 for only 31 minutes of parking. There was no clear or visible notice that customers must go to the cashier to validate their parking ticket, nor any explanation that parking would otherwise be charged. After being charged, we returned immediately to ask for clarification. Staff confirmed that validation is required but refused to apply it retroactively, even though the requirement was never disclosed in the first place. This creates a situation where first-time customers are almost guaranteed to be charged unless they already know the rules. That is unacceptable for a major grocery store. Until parking instructions are clearly and visibly posted, I would not recommend driving here.
This is legit one of my favorite places to shop for snacks and groceries. It has a great variety of Asian products with the majority being Korean. I'm honestly a bit 'shook' with the fruits/veggie prices and the outstanding quality of them (no bruising/fresh.) The meat/seafood selection is amazing too with low prices. don't get me started on the variety of ramen brands and flavors, good god I couldn't decide, had to get 1 of almost everything. I honestly recommend you coming here and buying a snack or two just to have an excuse to check the place out. Live a little and get out of your comfort zone by trying something new from this place. 10/10
be careful with this store - it's security and it's nightshift person in charge will not respect you regardless if you been a customer of that store for 15 years. The security guard does not keep his hands to himself grabbing your drinks and putting it on the floor next to the toilet. and then when you confront him asking him why he would do such a thing his response is "touch me" "touch me" "touch me" as he is ready to beat the crap out of you. that is why I say be careful with this store - I will not step foot there again. and to top it off as if this was not aggravating enough the person in charge is calling her boss telling him that I was being "aggressivo" and "violento" which was a total lie and shows the extreme display of disrespect - all I was doing is confronting the security guard and asking that they replace my drink - the liar does not know or realize that they have cameras that see that she was lying about the "aggressive" and "violent" comments she was making. I still want my drink replaced which this store does not seem to be interested in doing.
As a child, we would bring our Halmeoni (gramma) here to do her weekly shopping. For children it’s a whole different world compared to the general markets. It’s like an aquarium. As an adult, I come for my kimchi, delicious fresh vegetables and most importantly the Korean sweet potatoes. You can buy them fresh or from the hot coals. If you ever see a cart with brown bags inside with a sign that says hot, GRAB ONE. They always have a timer and every 20 minutes they are done. This is typical to the street food in Korea and it’s insanely good and hard to recreate at home (but the air fryer might help). The store is always stocked and has plenty of attendants to help if needed. English, Korean and Spanish are all spoken at the store. And don’t forget to sign up for a rewards card!
Free parking with validation at the cashier, enter from the back (S Manhattan Pl). Maybe not the lowest prices on everything like Hannam, but probably the most beloved Korean grocery store in the area. Fresh and huge variety of produce, sliced frozen meats, sushi, banchan (including raw soy marinated crab), frozen goodies, and more!
