I used to think California (Kaju) Market was the best for Korean food, but Galleria Market beats it by far, especially for selections and deals including banchan selections

Can’t go wrong with this. Black noodle is under $10 and Jjampong is under $12. Prices are reasonable but best in ktown. Plus plenty of parking. Will come back again

⸻ "We had lunch at your restaurant yesterday around 3 p.m. and ordered the beef soup (Galbitang). Unfortunately, this morning both I and my daughter became very sick — we experienced vomiting and diarrhea. I just wanted to let you know so you can check the food quality and make sure no one else gets sick. Thank you for understanding."

There is a manager with yellow hair. It‘s so rude and yells at the customer. Market manager is one of the service jobs. If the customer doesn’t know and makes a mistake, she will shout first even if it‘s a matter of talking well. Very rude and unkind. Never go to Galleria Vermont.

I personally enjoyed this Galleria location in the heart of DTLA, it was clean with ample deals must be because of the new year but still very reasonably priced Items, got some porridge, banana milk shake, Turtle Chips by Orion both the corn and churro chocolate flavor, fish sausage cake, tteokbokki, premade meal of beef galbi to go. Check the prices as they ring up - Luckily I did, they tried to over charge me for 1 of the items. Customer service was good! Its DTLA and I get it but I didn't like the fact that they ask you to put your bagpack behind a counter. When we asked the security guard if it was safe there, he didn't really have an answer *missing star I’m at a loss of whether Galleria is better than H-Mart both offer great deals, H-mart do have more hot food selection, both locations clean, H-mart did seem small and super cramped, I did like the ample seating at Galleria and the restaurant serving hot affordable food was soooo good. Which location would you choose?

Just watched a discriminatory incident where the store owner was tracking down a homeless person going in for food. They didn't smell or bother anyone or steal. The owner than yelled at the security for allowing the person in telling him not to let people like that in the store. Fortunately, he did this after the guy left. However that was not okay and disgusting behavior. People have hard times the guy wasnt bothering anyone, just walked in to get food.

BEWARE: IF YOU ARE NOT KOREAN DONT GO TO THE MARKET HERE!!! POC NOT WELCOME I arrived with my two bags because I was heading straight from here to work and this older korean lady (she was in the front little shop before entering the market.) heard me talking in spanish (I was on the phone with my coworker who only spoke in spanish) and stopped me from entering. She scolded me like a toddler and made me place my bags down in front of her making it seem as if I had done something wrong, when I hadn’t even stepped inside the store yet. She told me to place my bag down in front of her as if I was going to steal (which okay sure my bag was big) but the way she was talking to me like I was dumb and unwelcome. I then was like why?? and she kept saying put it down and once I did she gestured (again like scolding me / I was a bother) now you can go in. I was so confused and taken aback that I ultimately decided not to go in and when I told her never mind she then was like okay then go 🙄and SHE was annoyed… safe to say this particular market doesn’t welcome poc.
