3 stars for variety in items and the price of things.. everything else was not great. The whole store smelled horrible, I believe from the fish, but it was honestly overwhelming. The mushrooms we bought weren't good, we took them out of their package when we got home to make dinner with and the smell was foul. Not a fun surprise lol. The building itself is very run down and everything appeared very dirty- we stuck to mostly canned and dry goods because of that. The prices were fair and some items were cheap (in a good way). I think I'd go again but not to buy anything fresh, only canned and dry goods.
The cashiers always ring things up a few dollars over the sticker prices. The first two times it happened it wasn’t a huge deal because it was a dollar or two but last time dude tried to charge me $50 for two boxes of ice cream and when I tried to leave he suddenly realized his "mistake" because he charged me for 3 boxes. But $36 for two boxes of ice cream is ridiculous the listed price is 10.99. Hmart can’t rip you off. Just saying.
People not too friendly, stuckup. Seemingly don't care about the customer's wants. Still there are good selections but you have to find them for yourself
This is a large Asian market that has almost everything. Prices were reasonable and it has a large inventory or sauces for cooking. Have you ever wanted to create your own Ramen? You could do that with their noodle packs, sauces, and spices. It also featured many unique snack foods. There's a lot to see here and if you're looking to take your cooking up a notch then this is a great source. I make a hot pepper sauce using peppers and tamarind. They sell a large container of pureed tamarind at the best price I've seen in town. Oh, and yes, they do sell Mochi. update: I forgot to mention that there's a restaurant within this grocery store but it's behind the cashier to the left as you walk in. Today, I saw security working at the door. That was nice. The shopping center seems old and rundown but I don't care, it means prices are good and I'd argue that they are.
Nice atmosphere. Reasonable prices. They had what I needed and I got other things too
Absolutely disgusting!!! I got the custard bread and drove 30 minutes back to my house. When I open the package everything looked normal. I went to take a bite of the bread and saw mold in there. I was so sick when I saw it. I couldn’t believe my eyes!!! Never going to purchase that ever!!
I had a app order. No one was in the lobby but me. The manager walked by twice never said a word. I stood there for 17 minutes from the time I walked in till the young lady preparing the food ask me if she could help. Told her I had app order and gave my name. She just turned around grab my order and handed it to me. What the manager should have done 15 minutes before. The order was correct and good.
