Hong Kong Market

I love Hong Kong market. This place is the best for all your Asian cuisine delicacies. There is also other ethnic cuisines there as well. All of which is to desire to quench your personal taste pallet, the fish market is the best. The freshest fish in the Pacific Northwest is at the Hong Kong market and they will clean them cut and gut them and fry them up for you. Free of charge the best fried fish in the world is at the Hong Kong market any location. I stop at this place Any chance I can just to purchase my favorite delicacies. I am truly grateful for the wonderful staff that operate the Hong Kong market. Thank you so much.

Got a viet sandwich sometime,it is good and fresh (it was this time)other time not the freshes, also had a durian 1st attempt was milky when I asked to changed it she agreed it was less than the original but legit.

Small simple market with the main staples for Asian cooking needs. A larger selection of sauces and spices typically found in Asian cooking - a fair selection of frozen foods and essential selection for meats and veggies. The keyword there is essentials but not a variety. Prices are reasonable and it's rarely ever busy so getting in and out quickly is easy as well. Great alternative if you forgot one or two items but I wouldn't say it's large enough or has enough variety to do all shopping there. they do have seafood as well which is a plus.

Buyer Beware. Price on the display rack has whatever they want to show (in my case $4.99) but when you take it to the register it’s $8.99 (80% higher) and they don’t say anything - very dishonest. Is it just one item or what? Someone should audit them. Deceitful business practices. Here is the evidence. Impolite when taking it back and even discovered another item also wrong in the process.

I would rate this market zero if there was an option for zero star. I only visit Kent once every few years. Walked in here on May 1st, 2025 around 10:45am. The place looked old, depressing, and needs a beauty make-over. At the seafood area, there’s a middle age (Mexican?) employee with a white beanie, about 5’9" and medium build body. He was very rude and yelled loudly at a customer, the one and only customer there at the time. It was unbelievable! Of course the customer left without wasting another minute there. I left soon after too. I am thankful that there are so many CLEAN and nice Asian markets in Seattle with good customer service and FRESH products. This Hong Kong Market in Kent definitely on the very bottom of all.

Of the three Hong Kong markets this one is my favorite. I like the selection in the gift/merch section. The folks behind the deli are a lot more consistent with the quality of the bbq and sandwiches. The produce moves quickly as does the seafood so far everything I have purchased has been great quality considering its exoticness. The cashier are efficient. I only dislike the parking lot, it’s always full and difficult to navigate with many vehicles coming in an out.

They have the widest array of live, frozen, fresh fish & seafood choices of any Asian or otherwise grocery store, in both Burien & Kent, Washington.
