Very bad experience today I buy fresh jalebi, but it's not fresh When I open after buying at home it's smell very bad like it's packed long time ago. Don't buy. If u buy check it in the store.

This is the largest Indian grocery store I've seen in the States. We didn't know what many items were, so we bought stuff and tried it. Morning was terrible. Many things were really nice.

Extremely bad customer service: I had been calling for 2 days about a few bad produce I purchased. Now, I know that there is no refund on produce but, preparing it the next morning after purchasing it the night before: seems to me that the produce was bad in the store itself. After calling Patel brothers at 38th Street: They said no refund on produce, and after arguing for a while the guy took the receipt no. and said he will escalate the issue to his manager. But no call came and feels like this is a tactic Patel Brothers use to delay addressing grievances from their customers.

I had a deeply disappointing and horrifying experience with this store that I feel compelled to share. On Jun 4 or 5, 2025, I purchased a pack of Janaki brand idli batter which showed a printed "use by" date of June 6th, 2025. I did not check the use by date at that time in store and only saw it after reaching home. However, something felt off, so I peeled back the top sticker—and to my shock, there was another label underneath showing an earlier "use by" date of April 30th, 2025. This is not just dishonest—it’s dangerous. My wife is currently 35 weeks pregnant, and food safety is absolutely critical for us right now. It’s appalling that a store would tamper with expiry labels just to sell expired products. This kind of behavior shows a complete lack of ethics and regard for customers’ health, all for the sake of a few dollars. If you care about your family’s well-being, I strongly advise against purchasing any locally sourced or perishable items from such stores unless you’re absolutely sure of their integrity. This kind of manipulation is not just unacceptable—it’s shameful.

I love it here! It’s clean, it doesn’t smell, the food doesn’t look all dusty and old. Or like if you don’t eat it today it’ll be molded tomorrow. This may be my new international spot and Saraga’s may be out. Although their selection is not as big as theirs. I totally suggested this store for your international needs.

Cheap Store. We got puff for a snack and ended up with dysentery. Looks like they are selling old stuffs and eatables are not freshly made. Please, Please for god sake avoid getting eatables from their Kitchen. all they want is money and not maintain the quality. even street vendors in India sell quality products. These people (Patel Chain's) are minting money by selling cheap products here in the USA. Shame on you Patel Brothers...

Fresh produce is always great! The store is nice and clean, and very well organized, great place to shop for fresh produce, they also have a deli/ bakery with some pretty good eats.
