We've been shopping here forever, however on January 12, 2026, we grocery shopping as usual. We in line at the register and spend $278.48 to be exact. This security guard saw a print on my hip and came over and ask me to leave the store. Saying they have a posted sign that doesn't allow it inside. I pointed out to him that the sign was for OPEN CARRY -( 30-07) and not (30-06) sign. He don't or can't understand what he's trying to enforce. He was trying to argue with me and trying to intimidate me but that didn't face me one bit. Meanwhile the cashier at the register was yelling at my wife for helping her bagged the grocery. I told my wife to just leave everything there and leave, but she's a better woman then me and continue to wait and pay for the groceries. WE WILL NEVER EVER SHOP THERE EVER AGAIN.

I came to Hong Kong Food Market because I was meeting a friend on 1960. I saw a sign on the left of Bammel North Houston Road. I stopped by and found so many goodies.

Per security guard we couldn’t go in she said STORE CLOSES AT 9:15pm thou sign says open

I like the fresh vegetables. A lot of Asian vegetables are available here in this market that you don’t get in any other market I always buy taro root from here my favorite vegetable they also have fresh fish. The only problem is in the fish market where the staffs are very rude With very bad attitude. Other than that great place to shop some fresh Asian vegetables. Great prices are available for fresh green leafy vegetables too.

This store would be one of my go-to destinations to buy seafood, vegetables, meat, and other international grocery products. They do have a wide variety of grocery selections like Indonesian, Filipino, Thailand, Vietnamese, Chinese, and Korean food products. They also sell bread and other Asian pastries. One thing I noticed when I go to shop here is that it's always cold no matter what time of season it is. Another thing, too, is that their restrooms are not that pleasant. All in all, it does meet my groceries' needs.
