This is not a Kroger or an H-E-B so don’t put it in that category. If you’ve been to any Asian country, this place, reminds you of it all the way down to the exotic fruits. You can get a fruit tree or Asian Tupperware. The fish market is want to see. Along with hanging pigs and ducks ready to be served if you want an adventure in Houston just walk down the aisles and bring the family a great anchor for the China city mall.

I visited this place today, July 26, 2025, and was genuinely excited to go. I purchased the green ball cake with coconut filling — a product I’ve bought many times before without any issues, which is why I keep coming back. Today, I bought three packs, each containing four green balls. After paying, I began eating one and immediately noticed a STRONG MOLDY TASTE, so I spit it out and checked the rest of the package. Sure enough, ONE OF THE BALLS CLEARLY HAD VISIBLE MOLD ON IT!!! This was extremely disappointing — and alarming. IS THIS STORE TRYING TO POISON AND KILL THEUR CUSTOMERS BY SELLING MOLDY FOOD???? It’s very unacceptable for a store to sell moldy food, especially at increased prices and reduced quality. This raises serious concerns about food safety and how long their items have been sitting on the shelves. If you're planning to buy cake or any fresh food from here, be extremely cautious. You truly don’t know how old the products are, and eating them might put your health at risk. See pictures for reference.

Hong Kong City Supermarket is great! This was my first time shopping here. The prices are incredibly cheap, and the goods are exceptionally fresh. I hope everyone will come and check it out; they have both Chinese and Vietnamese food. The staff and owner are all very kind. Yesterday I bought a can of oil and left it in my shopping cart in the parking lot. Today I mentioned it to the owner, and they gave me a new can. There was also a young Chinese girl who helped translate. Thank you all! I wish you booming business and a Happy New Year!

The market is very big, they have a huge variety of vegetales, the seafood area is very interesting too. They have a lot of products from Asia and I love to try new things. The aisle of tea is amazing and big! Recommended. Visit the market with time because you can be there for few hours.

This Asian grocery inside the mall has a lot of product selection, good produce, and meat and seafood. We stopped in to look at the fresh fruits and bought some eggfruit. The prices are fair and the quality is good. The store is older and still seems to run on 80s and 90s equipment. Still, it's worth stopping in to check out the grocery and the prepared foods.

Prices are extremely fair, good quality produce and meats. Even the seafood area is very clean. Very cultural, I loved every minute here. Definitely get good deals on anything and authentic food on the outside. We're definitely coming back again.
