This is the only place I would get my steamed octopus. Small shop with food and other items. They have a lovely frequent shopper benefit program where you earn stamps (points) for certain purchase amounts. Friendly staff.

Way smaller than I had expected, but there was still a decent selection of products. The place is clean and the staff are very friendly. The cafe was closed when I came on Sunday, but they had other Japanese food.

This place has a little bit of everything from Japan! From toys and candy to a variety of foods, wine, and so much more—it’s a fun and unique spot. They also sell homemade sushi and really good matcha. I ordered my matcha cold, and it was super tasty! You can also get it hot and add extra treats to customize it. I got there before noon and a lot of the sweet treats were already sold out, so it’s best to come early. It’s become really popular recently after going viral on Instagram, so there’s usually a line out the door. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

They have a variety of Japanese products 😍. I like this little Japan store. They have fresh already made bento boxes and other sides foods to eat. I personally come here for some of their Japanese chips and kitchen appliances. (Like there bento boxes, knives, and portable bottles.) They have a few anime trinkets, but I mostly come here for the groceries.

Didn’t see a stand alone section for me to review Oyatsu so I’ll just review both Daido and the pop up cafe! Daido Market Overall- 8/10 ⭐️ I’ve been coming here for years! They have always had a great selection of items! Nice variety, has items that other Japanese/asian markets don’t have so that’s nice! Staff is very kind, super helpful in answering questions and providing recommendations. Only downside is the store is a bit small so when the pop up is operating, it’s a bit of a pain to shop and look through the aisles. Service 10/10 Like I mentioned the staff is super kind! Zero complaints from me! Premade meals - 8/10 🍱 I can’t say I’ve had all of their premade options, but what I’ve had so far has been very enjoyable! Also much cheaper than going to a Japanese restaurant when you’re in a pinch and have specific cravings. Love their sushi options and their tempura bowls. Also if you want to jazzz things up, grab some furikake to enhance the rice! Ok gonna move onto Oyatsu We tried only two drinks from there so will only be reviewing those items! We went to the inside pop up called Oyatsu, a very small Japanese dessert shop pop up. It looks like it has gotten extremely popular lately and honestly very well deserved! Matcha Latte - 9/10 🍵 Their matcha is delicious! The drink overall is so creamy, refreshing and thank goodness not drenched in sweeteners. I don’t like overly sweet matcha that’s my personal preference but this was such a nice balanced drink. My only wish is that they had oat milk instead of only soy milk as an option. Again just a preference for me! The soy milk option was still delicious paired with their matcha 😋 Strawberry Milk- 10/10 🍓 I liked this one more than the matcha! I love the smell and taste to strawberries and cream items. And this strawberry milk to me tasted so amazing. It was creamy, sweet but not overpowering, smooth and loved the strawberry puree. It was also very refreshing! I would totally go for this if you happen to it be a matcha fan. It makes me wonder how their strawberry matcha would taste together! I’ll have to go back and see! Service 10/10 ⭐️ The baristas were super kind and they also made sure to get your order right. They have a a good system and you can clearly see the matcha drinks are not premade so please be patient and expect a slight wait to your drink. I promise they are taking their time to ensure the drinks are as perfect as they can be!

I love a Japanese grocery store! Daido has a respectable selection of meats, seafood, produce, snacks, and other Japanese goods. I’ve found some chips that I’ve never seen in other Asian grocery stores. They also have a cafe pop up on the weekends! The hojicha latte is okay but I highly recommend trying their strawberry mochi. They make it fresh, the strawberries are sweet, and there’s delicious red bean paste inside!
