Super King Market

I really like shopping here. I would give it a 5 star only if it wasn’t so busy all the time. They have many registers, but it’s always so crowded there. I change my mind. I will give 5 star. It’s not their fault everyone wants to shop there. They have many things and usually fresh that I can’t find in other supermarkets.

I purchased whole chicken breasts and thin-sliced chicken breasts from the meat counter at Super King, expecting them to be fresh. However, when I got home and opened the bags, there was a strong, unpleasant odor. One of the slices even had a purple discoloration. It was clear the chicken had spoiled, so I threw everything out immediately. I am not willing to risk food poisoning. Beyond the issue of spoiled poultry, the handling and sanitation at the counter were also unacceptable. When I arrived, the staff were cleaning the area. I waited patiently until one of them approached, but he did not change his gloves after cleaning. He used the same gloves to handle the chicken and place it in the bag. He also gave me a look that made it obvious he was annoyed to be helping, but setting attitude aside, the hygiene lapse was the real concern. I noticed the chicken did not look right, so I continued shopping and later returned to exchange it. The second employee gave me the same type and quantity of chicken, but once again, hygiene was ignored. She touched a visibly dirty cart before handling the poultry. I let that slide, hoping the product itself would be fine. Unfortunately, it was not. I only realized how bad it was once I got home. This is a serious health risk. The store’s sanitation practices are clearly lacking. Staff are handling raw meat with dirty gloves, failing to check for spoilage, and possibly selling expired poultry to avoid financial losses. I have always liked Super King. I used to shop at a different location, which occasionally had freshness issues, but nothing close to this. None of the poultry at the counter looked good, and the same was true for the packaged options in the fridge. Selling spoiled meat that could cause severe food poisoning is a major concern. It is clear that their standards have declined. I am seriously considering reporting this to the health department. That might be the only way to prompt them to raise their standards. But based on how things are run, I suspect they will only maintain those standards temporarily, just long enough to feel safe from scrutiny, before letting things slide again to cut costs. Having multiple batches of spoiled poultry and staff who ignore basic hygiene is too much

Normally I really like going to this store because they have a variety of everything. Most of the time the employees are super nice and helpful. So far now it's been twice that I have had an extremely rude and disrespectful employee in the deli. It's the same guy. It's an older gentleman that I found out today is the deli supervisor. The other deli employees are always super nice and helpful. I really like it when other employees help me. But him, I don't know if he's racist, hates women or just hates his life but he should not be working a customer service job. I wanted to get other items but since he would throw my items to me and is just rude in general, I just walked away. He really puts a blemish on an otherwise great store.

Great selection of deli meats! They have everything from halal options like smoked turkey and mortadella to beef salami and sujuk — all super fresh and nicely organized. Prices are a bit high compared to before, but it's still awesome to find so many halal choices in one place. Definitely a go-to spot if you're looking to stock up on quality cold cuts!

Who teaches these cashiers how to bag? You can’t throw everything in a bag! Berry containers open before getting to the car! Every single time different person same process of throwing everything in a bag. Sick of them and their behaviors.

Fresh produce and low prices. Great selection of Armenian and Eastern European grocery. Although parking can be a bit of a hassle during rush hours (3 to 6 pm), just be patient.
