H Mart Woodside

I visited this store for the first time since the renovation, and it was my first visit in about 10 years. I was honestly surprised by how much it has improved. Compared to the past, the variety of products has increased significantly, and everything feels much more organized and modern. The interior is very bright, clean, and well laid out. All the items were neatly displayed, making it easy to browse and find what I was looking for. It no longer feels cramped or outdated, and the overall atmosphere is very pleasant. One thing I really liked was the selection of ready-to-eat warm food. There were many options available, and the prices were very reasonable and affordable. It’s great to be able to grab something hot and quick without spending much, especially when you’re short on time. Overall, the renovation has made a huge difference. The store feels refreshed, convenient, and welcoming. I’m glad I stopped by again after so many years, and I will definitely be coming back more often.

A clean store. A bit pricey so I don’t buy fruits or vegetables here. But conveniently located when you wanna grab a few things on the way home. I got food poisoned from one of their pre-made bento, so minus one star. It’s a very small store with super narrow aisles. I wish the cashier guides where the line should be.

Hmart is, in general, an excellent store with great products and an outstanding prepared foods section that rivals many restaurants. However, on more than one occasion, I have overheard a young female staff member who wears glasses at the register speaking unkindly about customers in Spanish, seemingly under the assumption they wouldn't be understood. This is unprofessional and needs to be addressed. Aside from this significant issue, I have no other complaints.

Huge!! It has a lot of variety of Asian groceries a large range of produce very clean and well kept. And the hot food section was something I didn’t expect it had so much!!! At very good prices you cannot go wrong.

I’m the regular customer for so long time but recently their country style kimchi has some unexpected nasty floppy meat part came out with it that makes my vegan wife so sad. I’m not going to trust anymore . The reason I chose Korean than the Chinese isn’t worth now on .☹️

Sadly the cashier’s here are really rude. A lot of bad reviews are due to the cashier, its wondering why the management isnt taking it seriously. Been here a couple of times cause its close to where I live. I don’t do bad reviews but this one is the first one, cause it really hits me to think, the neighborhood hmart is ruin because of its employees. Even if you ask nicely and properly the lady cashier is rude and doesn’t care about it

My favorite asian grocery store in NYC. Not overpriced, staff are kind and helpful. They also have ROASTED SWEET POTATOES 🫶🏼🫶🏼
