Customer Reviews
Arman Market has a rating of 4.1 out of 5 based on over 36 reviews on Google
This store does not value customers’ time. You may spend around 10 minutes just trying to find someone at the checkout. I picked up some groceries and waited for a while, but no one came to help. In the end, I had to leave the items on the counter and walk away. The cashier seems to be working both in the kitchen and at the register. They really need to have a person dedicated to the checkout so customers are not left waiting.
We ordered food for three people (about $60), but the portions were very disappointing. They served us a small amount of rice with just a few pieces of meat, some of which were still undercooked, along with a little beans and a small salad. Honestly, the portion for three people was no different from what you would expect for one person. When this restaurant first opened, the food and service were much better, and I gave them five stars. Unfortunately, the quality has gone down a lot since then, and I will not be coming back.
I’ve tried lamb kabab at many restaurants in San Diego—Afghan, Middle Eastern, Persian, and others—but this was my first time having lamb kabab at Arman Cafe, and it truly stood out. The flavor instantly reminded me of the lamb kabab back in Afghanistan. It was juicy, perfectly cooked, and had just the right amount of lamb fat, which made it incredibly flavorful. My suggestion to Arman Cafe is to keep the food at this same high quality—you will definitely continue to attract many loyal customers.
Arman Cafe is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you feel comfortable and taken care of, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that keeps you coming back. Now let's talk about the food—simply outstanding. Every dish is crafted with care, using fresh ingredients and bold, authentic flavors. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty meal or just a light bite, the menu offers something for everyone, and it's all delicious. The presentation is top-notch too—each plate looks like it belongs in a magazine. Overall, Arman Cafe delivers a perfect blend of excellent food and exceptional service. It's the kind of place that feels like home, and once you’ve tried it, you’ll definitely want to return.
I really like this place — the food is tasty and the service is great! The bread is wonderful, freshly made and delicious. My only suggestions would be to adjust the price for the mantu ($16.99 for about 6–8 pieces feels a bit high, or maybe add a few more to the plate) and add a little more onion to it for extra flavor. The bolani dough could also be a bit thinner — it looked more like naan bread. I also would’ve appreciated if my qabili palau came out hot; it seemed like it had been sitting for a while, maybe because I went on a weekday instead of a busy weekend. Overall though, it’s a great spot and I’ll definitely be back!
My personal vehicle was wrongfully towed from my assigned parking space. There is no clause in my signed lease requiring a parking sticker or prohibiting a resident from parking in their own assigned space. Since the new property manager took over, many residents are unhappy. Vehicles are being towed from residents’ assigned parking without any signed notice, written agreement, or proper warning. The management office is frequently closed and unresponsive, even when staff are inside, and residents’ concerns are not being addressed. This has created ongoing frustration and unfair treatment for tenant
I usually place my order about 30 minutes in advance so it will be ready when I arrive, but a few times it has not been ready. I would appreciate it if the timing could be improved. Thank you
