Met Ahmad and his mum today and they were incredibly welcoming. They helped me find all my Persian staples and made the experience feel very personal. I ordered a shawarma meal that was had a lot of flavor, and I absolutely love the pickles they use. Will be back again, for sure!

I FINALLY found the BEST schwarma in the Triangle. Just how I like it: simple, delicious, fresh, garlicky, and with the most perfect pickles. And the battered fries are a perfect pairing. Cannot wait to come back! Bonus: the folks who run this grocery store-restaurant combo are kind, welcoming, helpful, and willing to order any ingredient you need!

I was genuinely impressed by the quality of the food. It truly took me back to the taste of authentic home-cooked meals. It’s the most authentic Middle Eastern flavor I’ve experienced in Durham so far. The menu is a bit limited, and I really hope they expand it in the future. I can’t wait to try the Mansaf this Friday! Update on Friday after trying Mansaf. Out of words. AMAZING!!!!

We had the half chicken dinner with rice and the chicken shawarma bowl. Both meals were delicious and filling. We often go there to buy spices etc. but noticed that they now serve food and we decided to try it out. We're so happy we did. The people who own this shop are very nice and we're happy they're here. Thanks so much for the delicious food choices.

I knew the food was going to be gas when I had to order at the front and pick it up in the back and spotted the singular table in the corner of the store to eat at. They do have some outdoor seating though, so it works out perfectly. There’s no staff at that store; they’re your new family! You’ll always get an amazingly warm welcome when you walk in. When I asked him how he was doing, the wise older gentleman at the resister told me he didn’t want to be greedy and ask to be 100% good, but he didn’t want to be only 50/50 either. He thought 65/35 was a perfect ratio, and asked me how he can get to be at 65/35. I still owe him a good answer on that one 😂 The smell of the chicken cooking in the back had my mouth watering while I was browsing around the LOADED shelves. I mean, cram packed with hard-to-find middle eastern goodies. I picked up teas, candies, canned goods, olive oil, fresh cheeses, and some AMAZING spices and juices. Oh, and one of your new aunties at the store MAKES the infamous Dubai chocolate. You can’t leave that store without it. I promise if you try it, you’ll go back for more. The first fight me and my boyfriend got into was over who was eating the last bite of that insanely delicious chocolate bar. I’ve been to many of the Mediterranean places in the Triad, and I don’t know how I didn’t find out about this place sooner. It’s a true NC gem. I’m bringing my Syrian bestie here next time. The chicken shawarma is a juicy little flavor bomb, and all the ingredients are fresh. The food was made with love, and you can taste it in every bite. We just got lunch there and now I’m going back to pick up dinner lmfao.

A small family-run middle eastern grocery with a shawarma shop inside! The chicken shawarma bowl was delicious and filling, but my favorite was the chocolate baklava available at the grocery checkout counter!
