Asian grocery store with a unique selection you don’t always see elsewhere. The produce looks super fresh, and I love the thoughtful decor—it makes shopping here feel extra pleasant!"

Big Mac

Authentic Asian Market with fresh produce fresh meat and live seafood. Very large Asian store with all types of Asian condiments, pastries, and frozen foods. There is also a restaurant that sells buffet style Chinese food as well as a bakery that sells unique filo style deserts and cookies. They also sell pots and pans and rice cookers and their liquor section is superb with Japanese whiskey and other alcoholic beverages.

This store offers many items that are hard to find elsewhere, which is its main advantage. Unfortunately, the customer service was extremely poor. In particular, a middle-aged female cashier working around Saturday noon had a very bad attitude and appeared visibly impatient. When a small issue occurred during checkout, she repeatedly rolled her eyes at me instead of offering help or basic courtesy. This is one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had in the Bay Area. I hope the owner takes this feedback seriously and considers replacing or properly training this cashier, as this kind of behavior drives customers away.

Marina food was one of the only two Chinese grocery stores in the South Bay back in the nineties. Over the years it has not been catching up with the competition. It is dirtier and darker. And the prices are not any better. There is a deli with many tables. A friend of mine likes to come here to get their Chinese fried donuts which seem to sell out easily.

The Chinese vegetables are fresh most days. The fresh seafood selection has a good variety, at an affordable price. They stuff every open space in the market, so getting around is a hassle. Expect the market to be a few degrees colder than outside as they don't turn on heat. Go for the convenience. If you have time H-mart is close by and much better.

Great asian grocery to find a large variety of items - especially the fresh and live seafood, lots of fruit and vegetable selections, as well as refrigerated or frozen food. There is a selection of cooking appliances and utensils. Plenty of parking in the lot in front of the grocery.

My wife and I drove over 2 1/2 hours to shop at this location. The product selection is very good. The thing that displeased us the most was the attitude of the several of their employees. I elected to bag the items we bought myself to facilitate our trek back home. This excuse of a cashier would ring up the items and threw our items to the end of the loading table resulting with the items crashing into the stop. A few of the items were glass bottles. Luckily nothing broken or showed damage. We also experienced the rude behavior at the deli section. He spoke to my wife with a demanding and rude loud voice. His body language was one of disgust and without any care. No change of behavior was displayed and no apologies were offered. I don't know if these behaviors are always typical for their emplyees near the end of their shift but, it was uncalled for. My wife spoke with the manager who offered no apologies. This experience soured our shopping trip. We decided never to shop at this location again.
