I buy my fish from this 99 Ranch Market all the time, and it never disappoints. The seafood section is fresh, well-organized, and the staff prepares the fish exactly the way I ask. The store is always stocked and easy to navigate. Great place for fresh fish and Asian groceries.

Weekday visit is nice and clean. Plenty of selection and usually it's a one stop shop for what you need with quality in Asian market. The food court is also good serving more Canton style food (I e. Southern China) (as opposed to some Taiwanese grocery store nearby). Price may not be cheapest, but still good found.

It’s nicely priced and convenient since they carry all of the western goods and my favorite Asian snacks spices and vegetable variety. My 4 star is mainly for the quality of the hot foods… if it was better prepared I would’ve given it 5 stars…

I live in Sunnyvale so I rarely visit this Cupertino De Anza branch, since the one across from the Apple Spaceship HQ is nearby. On a recent invitation to Eat Up‼️next door, I paid a visit. 👍 Atmosphere: very clean & modern 👍 Selections: wide ranges of Asian groceries from the Far East, especially China HK & Taiwan; also Indochina, Korea & Japan 👍 Prices: tend to be on the high side, especially compared to Hankook Supermarket 👍 Service (A): the cashiers, especially the Latina ones are really helpful & courteous; not the old Chinese man 👎 Service (B): I bought a cartful of groceries through one of the Latina cashiers; as I got several dollars in Deli coupons, I wanted to leave my cart near her so she can watch it for me. This old Chinese man kept harassing me into moving my FULL (> $100+) cart towards to entrance area. I was not blocking anyone, that really left a sour taste in my otherwise pleasant Ranch 99 experience.

Love this place. Very clean, good hot food bar where tou can get a full.plate for about $16. Good deals on produce and other products. I do like their bakery selection and their beers selection. Will.keep coming here.

Another location of the famous Chinese grocery store chain. We don’t like that pretty much all the vegetables are pre-packaged so we can’t buy just the right amount that we need. There is deli department here with Chinese barbecue. They have 5% discount for seniors 60+ on Tuesday.

If I had to describe this store in one word, it would be "petty." Here's what happened, and you can decide who was being unreasonable. I bought a box of soy milk from this store. I checked the expiration date and the seal—everything looked fine. But when I got home and opened it, the milk was completely spoiled. The next morning, I returned to the store with the product, expecting a straightforward refund. They agreed to process the refund, but then things got bizarre. They told me that because I had received a $1 coupon the day before (automatically applied for purchases over a certain amount), I needed to return the coupon in order to get my refund. I hadn't even used the coupon. I wasn’t even aware I'd received one—I don't shop there often so I wasn't familiar with their promotions. I explained all of this, but they insisted that without returning the coupon, they couldn't refund me. I offered to deduct $1 from the refund. They refused. I even offered to give them $1 in cash—they still refused. Their solution? I had to buy something else on the spot so that, after the refund, my original purchase still qualified for that $1 coupon. So, after wasting time and gas to come back and return spoiled food, I now had to buy something I didn’t need (I just shopped there the evening before), just to qualify for a refund I was clearly owed. The whole ordeal took over 10 minutes and even required closing a checkout lane. Let’s be real: the spoiled milk was not my fault. It came in an opaque paper carton—I had no way to know it was bad until I opened it. Yet instead of showing empathy or taking accountability, the staff was laser-focused on enforcing a pointless $1 coupon policy. In hindsight, I should’ve just reported this to the Santa Clara County Department of Environmental Health. Selling spoiled food is a serious matter—and the consequences of that would far outweigh $1. This kind of petty, rigid customer service isn’t worth my time or business. I won't be returning.
