Customer Reviews
Kroger Marketplace has a rating of 4.3 out of 5 based on over 1721 reviews on Google
I really like shopping at this particular Kroger, except last night (9-21-24) between 9 and 10:00 PM, my shopping experience was made a lot less enjoyable by the store employees pulling pallets into the aisles and blocking customers, like myself from getting through. (See photos) It seemed like just about every single time I started to head down an aisle, there were pallets of products and/or pallet jacks in the way. I do understand that your staff have to stock the shelves in a timely manner, but keeping the customers from getting through the aisles and placing items in front of the existing stock is not the way to encourage customers to shop there. Having to figure out a way to maneuver around boxes, large pallets, and forklifts are not my idea of a pleasant shopping experience. I have shopped here at this time of day in the not so distant past, and didn’t have to deal with this. I find this very frustrating and inconsiderate to your customers. Did you ever stop to think that this might make customers want to shop somewhere else? Not only that, but what about the seniors who come in there that have to find a way to maneuver around this chaos? And the employees act like they could care less and we’re in their way. I actually witnessed a male employee hurl a box several feet in the air, like one would toss a football, down an aisle while laughing and bragging to his coworker about how it landed in the exact spot where it should go. Really?! What if he had hit someone, not to mention his disregard of how to handle items that might be damaged now? Do you not teach your employees about safety? This guy was a grown man. I would have thought he would have known better. In addition to this, I actually had to move an electric pallet jack out of my way just to get cat food for my cat. This is crazy. Get it together Kroger and just remember that it’s your customers who keep you in business.
It’s Thanksgiving, I placed an order nearly two weeks before thanksgiving for a fried chicken and baked chicken order. Requested 1:30pm pickup time, I got there and chicken was not ready. One of the employees said give them 20 mins, 45 mins later my chicken still didn’t come out. Would not recommend this place at all! Horrible experience.
How would you like to shop at an overpriced grocery conglomerate that keeps limiting its hours of operations and forces you to scan and bag your own groceries? Does being barked at by miserable staff while you scan your overpriced purchases sound good? Well this is the grocery retailer for you! Legitimately disgusted by this place.
Although this is my favorite Kroger most of the time. Today, kind of changed my thought thoughts on that and I might be going back to Providence.TANITA who was working in bakery tonight or was over there idk but was very rude and nasty, the manager wasn’t coming fast enough to assist her with a customer and her demeanor in person was disgusting! Also her impatience showed through with her tone over the loud speaker over the whole store. Let her go! Not a good fit for this area. Maybe a Norfolk or Portsmouth store would fit her better!
This is a large grocery store with many sections contained inside including a deli, hot food area, cheese counter, butcher, and bakery. The store was clean and fairly well organized with a good selection. The prices are a little higher than some places, but the prices are competitive, especially if you consider the selection and layout of the store. In my option, the store is worth a few cents more. The negative is the wait time to check out. There are many self checkout options, but none of the self check are conducive to a large purchase.
The store is a normal kroger, the issues come when you use the app to order pickup. They nearly always dont have your oder ready in the timeline you pick. They sometimes call and let you know. But, if you cant keep your timeline why allow people to choose that for a pickup time? And its not once in a while its Nerly every time.
Great Selection. Often long lines. Very dirty. Toilet paper, wipes, and garbage everywhere. Talked to three employees who did nothing. I asked for management and waited a long time they never came out. I left my name and phone number at the service desk. No one ever called. Would be a great store is it was attended to properly. I have seen huge sections of expired food there in beef jerky department.
