Mei Mei Asian Supermarket

It's so nice to have a big Chinese supermarket in Castro valley! There are plenty of live seafood, fresh chicken, Asian snacks, instant noodles, drinks and viral mango and peach ice cream. The place seemed a bit empty though so there are plenty of room to grow. Fantastic deal on lobsters! But the fruits selection could use a bit more variety.

This Asian market is clean and well organized. You can pretty much find anything you need for an Asian household including kitchen items as well as fruits and vegetables. Live seafood and other kinds of meat are available.

We were supposed to window shop and look around what's great market it is. We end up buying great stuff and food. Recommend to visit and we will surely come back and buy groceries here!

Clean, bright, and spacious Asian grocery store! The stacked displays even give off a bit of a Costco vibe 🤣 My only little disappointment is that they don’t offer any hot or grab-and-go food 😭

Beware, this store is no longer as good as previous one. Just bought two live crabs with full price. BOTH of them have missing legs. This never happened before at previous location. That’s why I trusted the guy when he grabbed the crabs for me and didn’t double check. It turns out he took advantage of my trust.

Great addition to the neighborhood. I hope they expand their vegetarian inventory soon, as there aren't many choices right now.

Mei Mei is in a prime location with huge potential. Many prices were not marked (expect specialty product prices).
