Carrollton Plaza Supermarket

Carrollton Plaza Supermarket is a busy local spot with a wide range of Asian groceries. You’ll find everything from fresh produce to frozen goods and pantry staples — a lot of items that are hard to come by elsewhere. I noticed some Chuon Chuon (Dragon Fly) products in their freezer section recently, which is always nice to see when browsing for Vietnamese snacks. It’s one of those stores where taking your time can lead to some good finds. Worth stopping by if you’re in the Carrollton area.

Easy access. Big parking lot. Be mindful to enter through Entry Door and exit through Exit Door. No big backpacks or giant handbags because they are trying to reduce theft and keep prices down where possible. And it's possible! Inexpensive fresh thyme, mint, Thai herbs, tamarind. Packaged this and that of just about any Viet or similar specialty food items. Not a five-star operation, but a sincere and humble operation where regular people buy what they need to prepare the familiar and the exotic. Definitely worth a visit, or many visits.

This is my preferred Asian market here in the Dallas area. They have a huge inventory of everything you can imagine for Asian cuisine. The produce section is wonderful and has good pricing. I love their selection of herbs. I'm dropping one star only because they could keep this store a little cleaner and better organized. Overall, I've found their pricing competitive and high food quality. If you're tired of Walmart's poor produce selection, come to this market and you won't be disappointed.

Carrollton Plaza Supermarket is a must visit if you are looking to purchase Asian goods and products. There are a variety of different sections to look at. Beginning with fruits and vegetables. These included a vast diversity of common and exotic fruits. There is even a section dedicated towards seafood such as fish and shrimp. Alongside this, there was a section for kids toys and dresses All in all, it was a great visit.

This supermarket is honestly a hidden GEM! You might be familiar with 99 Ranch or H-Mart for your Asian groceries, but you'd be surprised to see how big this store was. It offers a huge variety of ingredients for Asian dishes, from Japanese curries to Vietnamese dried snacks and all the herbs you can think of! It was surprising to see that there was barely anyone in the store beside the workers. The store is honestly so big, it took 45 mins just to browse through every aisle to make sure I get everything. I found a ramen package that was $3 cheaper than other stores, and their soju is $5 each (buy 2 for $10, or $5.99/each). Asides from the great selection of items, the store are also kept very clean. The items are clearly labeled and the aisles are clear. I saw brands that I don't usually see at 99 Ranch, and my mom got her durian for $2.99/lb compared to H-Mart's price of $10.99/lb!

This is a big Asian supermarket but the difference from other markets is that it caters to all different Asian countries, especially Southeast Asia. Whereas other markets mostly cater to one region of Asia such as Korea or China and only very few of other regions. They even have a section with selected African food and seasonings. I love this place and have been coming here for years. Employees are very friendly and helpful. I usually go for Filipino or Thai food items.

It's very true! The SMELL gets me in and out in a hurry. It's true they have a wide variety of Asian foods and that's great. However, it's true that you should check the EXPIRATION date to be safe. I will still continue to shop here, however I have to check all my items for freshness and do it in a hurry.
