Vons

This Vons has to be the most dangerous store I’ve ever shopped in, if they can allow customers see this what’s going on behind the scenes. Clearly the freezer is not holding at freezing and everything ‘‘tis thawing and somehow refreezing. I pointed this out and said to a guy from the meat dept, "this isn’t safe and good for customers to see," he said, "Oh that’s like that because the freezer door isn’t sealing right." I told him it was very dangerous because of food poisoning but he basically shrugged it off. And the aisles are so small you can hardly get 2 carts down the aisles. Update: I went back to the store to pick up milk and the turkeys are still there with lumps of ice all over them, looks like no one cares.

This is our neighborhood Vons we love the service and quality of groceries here. Always gets the job done and stocked well!

This Vons is a grocery store and has many groceries. Coming from out of state it was odd seeing an entire isle dedicated to hard liquor. Ok, it’s also a liquor store. They have an isle for first aid too. Ok, it’s a drug store also. And they have a small hardware section. Too small to make the hardware store claim. 😉

A 5 Star in every way, products, deli, and employees. The bad part is the width of the aisles. Even smaller stores ave wider aisles. It’s ridiculous to navigate when people don’t hug the sides. Then you have people, like I can be, who are in a hurry or their own little world, and they completely block the aisle because they are unaware of anyone or anything else around them. (Guilty at times) Then it’s the shuffle trying to scoot the cart over after that. This has been my neighborhood, Vons for over 30 years, and I would love it to be my only Vons, but, if I’m around a bigger one, I will stop there quite often, and avoid this one.

I visited the Vons in Carlsbad looking for Thai curry paste, but they didn’t have any in stock. The store is located in an older shopping mall with limited other stores nearby. It’s a decent grocery store for basics, but the selection for specialty items is a bit lacking.

Soon I'll be the only store anywhere near downtown Carlsbad. The Smart & final is scheduled to close and be redeveloped into office space I believe. Anyway it's known as a "B" store, smaller size, at least it's here!

This is not the Vons I usually go to but it's near my job and I was trying to cut time so I went here after work. The meat was fresh and the cuts looked phenomenal but what truly made this my new go to location for meats was the assistance I received from the manager, Eric. I did not feel like he was rushing me and was he happy to help when I asked if he could slice some pieces extra thin for me. Overall the quality of meat and the exceptional customer service is what will keep me coming back here. Thank you!
