This is my favorite shop in South Slope. The proprietor is always willing to give a customer keen advice on ingredients to add to meals to make them extra nutritious! And the money you can save by buying here and cooking at home compared to eating out at a restaurant - unbelievable!

This store claims that it accepts EBT. There were 3 types of pumpkins they sold; small, medium, and large. I was trying to buy 1 medium and 1 large pumpkin. It even shows on the label how to cook the pumpkin. Owner said the small pumpkin is for decoration, and the other two are for cooking. I said "ok, so can i buy medium and large with EBT? she said "no, sorry". And again, on the pumpkin itself it shows how to make pumpkin pie and the ingredients for it, so its not for decoration purpose .

I have come to this place for the past 7+ years by now, I moved to Prospect park 5 years ago, and still prefer to commute to this place to restock my Pantry/fridge, great quality, fair prices, lots of variety, loving/generous couple/owners, 🫶🏽💐

Love this shop for produce and dry goods! The produce is so affordable and they have a great selection, including some hard to find Asian ingredients. The owner is so nice and helpful. It’s so conveniently located we always check there first.

Great selection of fruits, veggies and pantry staples. The prices are always cheaper here than the key food down the street. Last time we went in the owner mentioned it’s been slower post COVID- please visit and support local/ small businesses!

They always have produce that is cheaper than across the street at eagle and a surprisingly varied selection for such a small shop. I buy all my produce from here. The owner is nice and speaks both espanol and english although it might be a little difficult to understand sometimes. Some of the produce can be a little less than fresh but it's to be expected when certain crops are out of season. I always go here!
