Amazing Catering & Hospitality! We recently had Middle East Market cater a birthday party, and the food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and so tasty! The owner was there personally, engaging with guests and making sure everyone was happy and well-fed. His hospitality and attention to detail really stood out. I highly recommend their catering service—great food, excellent service, and a warm, welcoming experience. Will definitely order from them again!

I usually stop by either the Middle East Market or its sister spot, the Middle East Café, during my weekly laundromat run down the block. The café bartenders are always kind — once they even let me use the bathroom before I realized the laundromat had one. I’ve ordered a beer while waiting for my clothes to dry and was welcomed to sit with my dog on the back patio. The atmosphere is warm and accommodating. The market itself is a treasure trove: shelves filled with Middle Eastern dry goods, nuts, dried fruits, spices, blends, and condiments you can’t find anywhere else. Kofta, shish kebab, falafel, sumac, garam masala — it’s all here. They also carry pita, lavash, labna, and other breads and yogurts that make cooking from scratch feel like heaven. Bonus points for the large assortments of delicious house made baklavas! Even without a full kitchen, the prepared foods are excellent. I ordered falafel, eggplant dip, hummus, and cucumber salad from the to‑go counter — a mini feast for $26 that didn’t disappoint. **Verdict:** Courteous service, respectful staff, and a fantastic selection. Whether you’re cooking at home or grabbing a bite, this place is a gem. Highly recommended.

What a hidden gem! Was craving delicious Persian cuisine and this place did not disappoint. Juicy meat, simple well cooked saffron rice, and so many amazing sweets at the sweets bar. Sour cherry pistachio and rose ones were our favorites! Not to mention the SUPER kind staff and amazing Iranian grocery selection. Highly recommend!

This is my go to place when I want something comforting and delicious. Everyone is always so kind and friendly. I love the offers of tea whenever I dine in and any leftovers taste just as delicious the next day. The prices, for the amount of food served, are affordable. One of my favorite places to eat in the East Bay.

I came to get some food for dinner and it was good! The kebobs were tasty and my favorite!

Come here for my rose ice cream and Turkish delights. $13.99 for boxed purchases for top two rows. Staff is very welcoming. They have groceries, & a take out counter with limited indoor and outdoor seating. Street parking.
