Market of Choice Bend

Just once I’d love to shop here and not be overcharged. Whether it’s the deli havarti that rings up at $4/lb higher or the heavy cream with an advertised price that magically rises back to the original at the register, every little bit counts and adds up. Shop defensively here and check your receipt before leaving the parking lot. FWIW, I’ve found the same to be true at other locations of the Markup of Choice as we impolitely call it in Eugene. That said, because I don’t live in Bend, I’m not going to follow up with your store manager. My comment reflects a pattern I’ve experienced over time across multiple visits and locations, not a one-off error. Also, what I did not mention was that your checker had pretty much nothing to say to my request to refund my money. She acted annoyed that I was bothering her and offered no apology even as I went out of my way to tell her that I knew it was not her fault. Also, she failed to acknowledge that she might actually fix the price discrepancy for the next person who comes through with the same item. It’s clear you don’t really care about overcharging people. If I were a conspiracy theorist, I might even suggest that’s part of your business plan. The deli counter saleswoman on the other hand was very nice and apologetic. Kudos to her.

Great selections of local and ethical brands. Bulk section is decent. I love the selection of health and beauty and the baking aisle. They have things you would and wouldn’t expect. It’s fun to shop there because it’s so pretty but it’s also good stuff. The hot food is also yummy. I wish the prices weren’t so high, but it is what it is.

Thoroughly impressed with everything about this store. Ordered Vegan Wellington, Miso glazed carrots, salmon deviled eggs, maple turkey roulade, vegan gravy, Dubai chocolate cake for our Thanksgiving in Bend. Wasn't sure how the system worked, but you don't pay up front. Instead, when you get there to pick up your order, they run and fetch everything and then you pay. Amazing that they were even open on Thanksgiving! But let me tell you about the food - SO 😋😋😋 Very high quality and fresh and well presented with great touches. The Dubai chocolate cake even had gold dust sprinkled on top! The store itself is amazing with a great selection of food (fantastic deli and cheese bar, for eg) and other items, an upstairs seating area with a fireplace, and very friendly and welcoming staff. Oh, and everyone loved the selection of food. Delicious. Can't say enough. Love this place and wish they would open a store in my town!

Great deli. They have some good falafel sandwiches in the cold section and fantastic cheese and wine selection. Friendly staff, very helpful. Their coffee selection is a bit wild - never seen so much in one place.

You know, it's great if you like the kind of products Whole Foods sells, but instead of getting gouged by Amazon for your healthy shopping, you can instead pay a premium price to an Oregon business. The staff are decidedly kind, I am surprised they have two floors and comfortable seating for people to eat, meet, and so on. An oddly positive presence in its community.

Market of Choice Bend is my favorite grocery store in town. They have a fantastic selection of fresh produce, high-quality meats, and a wide variety of local and organic products. The store is always clean and well-stocked, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. I also love their deli and bakery section—everything is fresh and delicious!

I was curious about the store due to one coming to a town near me. The restrooms were upstairs, there was an elevator and stairs to get to them. There was an eating area up there as well. The store was clean and tidy. I didn't buy anything so I'm not sure about the check out process, but it looked pretty standard.
