Whole Foods Market

We visit the Cape from CT often, even in low season. I've had reservations about Whole Foods since Amazon, et al took it over, but the new WF in Hyannis is markedly improved from the former location, large, clean, well stocked, friendly employees. I disagree with one poster, the parking lot is spacious, not cramped and plentiful. In terms of food, the produce is fresh with a good selection, including organic. Dairy has items that we buy on a regular basis as well as some interesting items that I can't find elsewhere except possibly a health food store. Eggs and other foods are priced competitively, esp compared to cost in CT. Husband and I got lunch from prepared food (sandwich and Thai noodle bowl, both were excellent). Glad to see they have a good selection of house made breads again. Rosemary sourdough is out of this world! Only disappointment was meat department. Although the butchers were nice and helpful, the NY strip steaks we purchased lacked flavor and tasted "water logged" as if they had been previously frozen. I do not know what country they were from, hopefully the US, but perhaps we should have tried the grass fed beef which is healthier anyway. Will definitely shop here when we return. Good job.

Amazing, friendly service! Love it here 🙂 Wholefoods Hyannis, has everything one may need to enjoy an awesome summer, grilling, and eating great quality organic food. Every store employee at this location are super kind, friendly, and really try to make sure your shopping experience is super amazing. I truly appreciate each time I get to visit, and shop at this location. The new Whole Foods Market should be opening soon, just down the street. Can’t wait to visit that store!

Great idea to move the Whole Foods to the former Sports Authority! Way larger than the old one. I only have pictures of the closed original location.

I shopped for lettuce at the NEW Hyannis store last night, only to find the entire display of iceberg FULL of bugs! I mean INFESTED MAJORLY. (See pics). Then, when I got home for dinner, my wife served broccoli that she had bought from the same store a day earlier, and it too was FULL OF BUGS! $10 for broccoli... to toss? This is an absolute disgrace. This NEW location clearly has a serious insect infestation issue, yet they are still putting the produce up for sale. Very disappointing—I was looking forward to this new expanded location. North East Operational Area, please take note—this produce department cannot be trusted.

I got a chicken burrito at Whole Foods today for around $8. While eating it I could detect no chicken at all. I looked at the ingredients and found less than 2% chicken. Chicken was listed after salt. It would be more accurate to call it a salt burrito. $8 for a few pennies worth of flour, rice and flavorings.

Open New Year's eve and day! We'll stocked with a wide variety of foods. Decent bakery. Excellent produce.

I have visited the Amazon return one time in this store. I was excited to see how professional and established that it appeared. The personnel were very chatty and interested in my returns, but evidently scanned them incorrectly so I did not receive a refund from Amazon for one of my returns. When I contacted whole foods customer service, they referred me to Amazon even though it was WF's fault. When I responded as such, I never received another response from whole foods customer service. I was disappointed that a store that wants to present itself as high end did not have better customer service than was provided. Expensive groceries are only worth it if you have the professionalism to support the cost.
