You know the kimchi’s be 💯 when a korean halmoni is packing it in-house at the back of the store. Very well-stocked for such a small shop, mostly Korean products, and really good kimchi selection. I can find everything I need for cooking, pickling, and snacking.

Incredible neighborhood Korean market filled to the brim with all kinds of delicious treasures. Frozen, tea, spice, and produce selections are all notable on their own, but the banchan are truly top tier. Visit at least once a week for seasonal and fresh varieties of homemade kimchi while it lasts. One of the few places that makes garlic scape kimchi (마늘쫑 장아찌), which we can never get enough of!

The highlight for me has to be their amazing locally made kimchee—it’s so fresh, flavorful, and hands down some of the best I’ve ever had. It’s worth the visit just for that! The store may be small, but they have a surprisingly decent selection of Korean items, from pantry staples to snacks, sauces, and more. You can tell they take pride in curating high-quality products. The owners are incredibly friendly and always happy to help if you’re looking for something specific or need recommendations. If you’re in the area and love Korean food, this place is a must-visit. Supporting a local business that offers such fantastic products makes the experience even better!

I recently visited Southgate Grocery in Bellevue and was impressed by the quality of their products and the friendly service. Been getting kimchi from this store for 20+ years, hands down the best kimchi in WA. Their gimbap is vegetarian and decent too. Limited selection of groceries due to the small size of the store, but clean and fresh. No complaints!!

Small but offers a lot of Korean and other Asian grocery items as well as deli. My favorite is their cucumber kimchi. They have soup, seaweed salad, kimbap, chapchae, etc. Pretty good selections of ginseng products. Isles are narrow, I don’t recommend strollers or wheelchairs. Parking is available.

Small convenient Korean and Asian food market and store. Small but still have good variety. Good selection of fresh banchan, or Korean side dishes. Some essential groceries that may not be available at a Western grocery store. Abiding by COVID guidelines. On the pricy side.
