A Z International Fine Foods

I moved to Baton Rouge from Houston which has people from many countries & grocery stores to serve them. I did not expect to find all the spices, beans, Lentils, flours & so much more here. I was so excited to find A-Z International Foods. I love to cook food from many different countries. I have to go to A-Z when I have lots of because I always spend time exploring. Always new things to try. To person who complained about dust & rust - often things shipped from overseas arrive with rust. As to dust - as crowded as store is with soooo many items it can be difficult to 'dust.' Overall the store is neat & clean. I'm still finding new things to try every time i shop.

Great place you can get all your international food stuff

This is one of my top international markets to visit in Baton Rouge. The store clerk I encounter on each visit is the nicest—he always recognizes us, greets us, and asks how we are doing. And he is very open to hearing our suggestions on products, meals, etc. The conversation with him feels very warm. As for the products offered, I prefer to buy bulk items from here,specifically staple goods like semolina, rice, and spices. And drinks...my husband and I like to browse the drink aisle, but we always search for the Sarikiz Apple soda. This is a must! I have come to prefer the size of international soda bottles...not too much but just enough for a sigh of satisfaction. Although we never seem to buy any on our visits,the produce section appears fresh. The aisles are clean and free of back stock, which is a plus compared to other international markets around. Overall, A Z International Fine Foods has a really good selection of foods mostly centered around India, Greece, Turkey, and the Middle East but definitely products from other countries as well. And the prices are very affordable. I recommend!

The sales associate was extremely nice and helpful! I am definiteely going to make this a part of my shopping stops. The store was very neat and full of surprising goodies.

The cashier was a very friendly lady. I did not find everything I wanted, but there was a nice array of things. I got (hibiscus, cinnamon sticks, hemp seeds, fenugreek seeds, and alum powder.) All under $12

Been shopping here for a long time, wish inventory didn't change to other products. Need to get more Turkish and Sri Lankan items. Especially Ulker, Maliban, Colonel Kababz, Deep. It makes it easier to get in person versus Online. Other than that, it is still great and great place to shop! UPDATE: Store is still amazing and lots of new inventory, I highly recommend!

We arrived to buy halal meat at 5:58. It was closing 6:00 but there was a guy inside. He saw us but didn’t open. Every time you couldn’t find halal meat. He could open for 2-3 minutes
