The Dermatology Specialists - North Wilmington

My husband and I have been patients at Dermatology Specialists of Wilmington for a little over a year now, and medically we’ve had a very pleasant experience. The providers and staff during our visits have been great, which makes this situation especially frustrating. Unfortunately, we have been dealing with ongoing billing and insurance issues for quite some time. I have called multiple times and have consistently been reassured that messages were sent to the finance or insurance department. However, my insurance company has confirmed that nothing has been submitted. They even contacted the office directly and were transferred between departments, only to be left on hold for over 45 minutes without resolution. I am very concerned about my account being sent to collections when I do have active insurance, have provided all required information, and have paid my copay. My insurance company has confirmed they will 100% cover the balance once it is properly submitted. Most recently, I called and spoke with Brianna, who stated she would transfer me to someone who could help. I remained on hold for over 15 minutes and no one ever came on the line. I am simply trying to take care of my bill and get this rectified. I have done my due diligence as a patient, and this situation feels unfair and avoidable. I would really appreciate someone from billing or insurance reaching out to resolve this matter. Today 2/6/2026 I had called in 2 weeks prior I also called in as well. I want this to be a 4 star review and can change once my situation is resolved.

I expected Saruk, my dr of many years, but to my dismay got ms Lucas instead. However, Lucas was great. I really liked her. She was very thorough yet kind. I hope Saruk is ok, im sorry I didnt get to say good bye to him as I feel we've developed a repoire (sp) over the decades. The office people were patient and nice in explaining the situation tactfully. The new office manager (Carol? I forget nane) will do great in her new role. I wish you would please get an office closer to Elkton, MD! Years ago you had one in People's plaza, DE, but that was closed for some reason. Please consider reopening that office!

I had a small cyst on my left pinky. The physician who removed it was an older gentleman who was very professional, and he completed the procedure in just a few minutes. Unfortunately, I went to two follow up visits, and my experience was not as great. I waited about 40 minutes for my second visit, which I found irritating for an exam that would last just 1 minute and 30 seconds. On my third visit, I waited 25 minutes and the exam lasted 45 seconds. The two ladies that saw me were very dry and unfriendly as if I was an annoyance to them. I understand that they are busy attending to patients with more urgent issues, but if I am going to drive 35 minutes to their office and wait longer to see them , it is not too much to ask for at least 3 minutes of their attention.

The employees/ doctors are great. My issue is with the companies constact need to have you fill out forms for database updates, when none of your information has changed. Simple question.. is everything the same ? "Yes" then have a seat and someone will be with you. Now how hard is that!!

The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and Karissa is wonderful! She’s very knowledgeable and she took her time with me. The office is also very clean and comfortable. I feel so lucky that I found this place. Couldn’t recommend more!!

Great experience for my son’s first dermatology appointment with Dejah. Everything was explained thoroughly and realistic expectations were set. Options were provided and he’s optimistic that we can get his skin comfortable again.
