UPMC Dermatology - North Hills

The doctor was great but the staff was awful. Doctor recommended a few things for me to pick up. The front desk didn’t even ask me what pharmacy I had. Couldn’t even get the list of items I needed. Just sent me home without a script or anything. Wasted my time. Absolutely horrible front desk personnel. I’ve never been to a UPMC office and left empty handed without a visit summary or my prescription instructions. Front desk personnel needs to be replaced.

I have been at patient at this UPMC Dermatology since 2021. The the physician assistant Megan Carrigan, the nurse practitioner Sara Prager, and physician assistant Hunter Baxter have done thorough skin exams of my body. I have never seen a dermatology physician here so cannot comment on them.

Waited 3 months for an appointment. The day comes I show up and the assistant sees that I'm a new patient, she ask if I am doing a all over body scan? I ask if it is covered by insurance and she tells me "we don't check patients insurance" it's the patients responsible. Well it would be nice if you would call and tell patients that. After all that, not one doctor or office manager even stopped in the room to express apologies and I never had my new patient appointment. WASTED MY TIME

Morgan McGuigan is fantastic. She is very caring and patient. She explains everything in detail and makes you feel at ease. Takes her time and doesn't make you feel rushed. Highly recommend!

I had an appointment with PA Sarah this morning. She was very kind and patient, and she took time to explain things thoroughly. My husband and I appreciated the fact that she left us alone for a few minutes to discuss our options. I was sure to request her for my next appointment. The office staff was also very kind and we really didn't have a long wait for the appointment. kind.

I've been coming here for 4 years after horrible treatment at another Wexford facility. Dr. Maddylyn Jackson PA has been great. This week I met Dr. Hunter Baxter PA. Both are just excellent, very caring and discuss in clear and understand able language what is going on and what needs to be done. I felt very comfortable and well care for. They both spent a great deal of time with me and were unrushed making sure that the mediation I needed would be priced the best place. Maddie is delightful and funny. Hunter is new here but so relaxed and very caring. The front office staff is equally charming and helpful. THIS IS A GREAT PLACE and the PAs are FIRST CLASS.

Terribly Arrogant staff. I needed to reschedule an apt for this week-Ive been calling since last week but was unsuccessful at reaching anyone. When I finally did I was told they’re booked till next year and do not have a schedule for next year yet and to call back in a few weeks…no priority or organized call back system. I am not a new patient. I’ve been there several times as have my family members. Most times there are scheduling problems and I feel as if the staff likes to belittle me…anyway, apparently the office is so busy that they can’t see patients or even schedule them. The docs are great but the receptionist and everyone else I’ve dealt with there seem to think very highly of themselves and very little of their patients
