Best dermatologist is Weston! For sure. Always friendly and attentive. Arrived for my appointment time and within 5 minutes was already being take care of by the Dr. The office also underwent a full renovation and looks great. Super recommended.
DOCTOR EDUARDO WEISS OF HOLLYWOOD DERMATOLOGY RUINED MY LIFE AS I KNEW IT! WHAT HE SAID DURING CONSULTATION AND WHAT HE SURGICALLY DID TO ME IS GROSS NEGLIGENCE & WILLFUL DISREGARD FOR MY WELL BEING! I TRUSTED DR. WEISS TO DO WHAT HE SAID WAS A SIMPLE MOHS SURGERY ON MY NOSE. HE LEFT ME WITH A COLLAPSED LEFT NASAL VALVE/LATERAL WALL & INTERNAL PERMANENT DAMAGE IN BOTH NOSTRILS! BREATHING THROUGH OUR NOSE IS SOMETHING WE ALL TAKE FOR GRANTED!
Great Doctor! All very attentive, fast and professional. A great find. Recommended.
Extremely Poor Experience with Skin Scan and Biopsy Service I went in for a skin scan on May 30th, and they took a sample for a biopsy. Since then, I’ve made over 10 calls, leaving messages to the person is supposedly responsible for delivering biopsy results. I was able to reach her once, and she informed me that they had lost my file but would contact me the following week to discuss the treatment plan. I asked her if this meant I had cancer, and she said no, but that she needed to speak with the doctor who took the sample. Since mid July, when this conversation took place, I had not received any return calls or messages until yesterday (August 14th), when they finally contacted me after months of silence. They casually told me, "Don’t worry, you don’t have anything." While I’m relieved by the news, the way this situation was handled is unacceptable. It’s truly alarming that an institution would deal with such a delicate issue like health, especially concerning cancer, with such a lack of professionalism and care. I felt completely neglected and disappointed throughout this entire process. I still wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
I hate to pile onto the already low reviews for this place but unfortunately I think it is well deserved. I’ve been here on 3 separate occasions. Once for a mole removal, which was great- zero problems. Last two visits however hardly qualify as healthcare. Simply put, this feels like an establishment where your wellbeing is not a priority or concern. The staff, from the reception to the primary doctor all have "compassion fatigue" and seem like they’re unhappy, making this place unpleasant to be in to begin with. I have been trying to speak with someone about my bill several times now. I’ve sent emails, left messages, and even spoke with someone over the phone (who was entirely unhelpful, and said she’d talk to the doctor, and I haven’t heard anything back since) and I just keep getting bills in the mail and no recognition or response to my questions or complaints. They clearly do not want to deal with me. Why do I have a problem with these guys? Well, allow me. I came in for an issue to which the doctor didn’t quite understand and assumed it was an infection. Prescribed me antibiotics and a topical treatment and took a swab for a test. After 3 weeks, no improvement in my condition. No follow up on my test results. When I return for a follow up and explain I’ve had no improvement, the doctor makes a comment about how it’s my fault because I didn’t take the antibiotics perfectly despite the fact I finished the bottle. I had missed my midday dose one time, but finished the bottle. He goes on to prescribe me another round of STRONGER antibiotics and keeps pushing epsom salt and warm water which did nothing as I explained to him. And what about the test that I paid for? Not once did he or any of the staff or even an automated system notify me of the results. Should they have paid attention or even looked at them, perhaps he would know whether or not it was actually an infection. Which it turned out not to be. He was rushed, spent maybe 5 minutes with me, and had unpleasant bedside manner. I felt disrespected and that I was a nuisance. I did felt skeptical of this conclusion and I went to another doctor within a week of that appointment. Come to find out there was no fungal or bacterial infection, not even any apparent signs of one, and it turned out to be an entirely different issue. After discovering this, it was even more clear that the doctor was negligent and recklessly prescribing antibiotics when they were not needed. Which, as a doctor he should know that this can even be harmful, for me and for society at large (antibiotic resistance!). So yes, I would like to speak to someone about my bill. The service I received was entirely unacceptable and below the bare minimum for patients who pay SO much for healthcare in this country. The experiences I’ve had with my new dermatologist further prove that this establishment and this practice is negligent and uncaring to their patients.
Dr. Giovanna Paredes has been an absolute Godsend. For over 12 years I have suffered from many different symptoms and have never received an answer as to what may be the causes. The first time I met her she suggested seeing a gynecologist when I was talking about my skin issues because she thought there might be an underlying issues, and she was right! I had many polyps that were causing me so much pain, as well as an issue with my uterus, which was resolved with surgery. The second time I saw her I was just there for a check-up to let her know how the medications she prescribed to me were working, and I just brought up casually how my week was crazy, and how I had found out I had some cavities at the dentist and had some eye trouble at the ophthalmologist (my insurance deductible renewal date was near, so I just wanted to get last minute appointments in). With this brief mention of my other appointments, she was able to pinpoint a possible diagnosis. Her suggestion to see a Rheumatologist after the second appointment has given me the answers I have spent almost 13 years searching for. I'm now being tested for Sjogren's Syndrome (amongst other things), and I finally have hope again that I will someday soon start to feel better again. She truly has saved my life (and skin). She is so compassionate and empathetic, and truly wants to help you and make sure you feel better. If you haven't had a great experience with a Dermatologist, you must give her a try, especially if you suffer from Psoriasis. Thank you, thank you, thank you Dr. Paredes!
Ally is wonderful and Dr. Wilentz is an exceptional dermatologist. Contrary to some of the reviews, I have found this practice to be conscientious, thoughtful, and eager to do well for its patients. Couldn't be more satisfied with my experience!
